RaF_75Well crafted, non-extremist presentations that inform about the first century worldN.T. Wright does an excellent job of informing the listener about how events in the first century (Jesus, et al) were most likely to have been viewed by people living in that time. Whether you agree with his assertions of faith or not, you walk away from these recordings more informed about the context and primary messages that are contained in the Christian Bible. Thank you, Bishop Wright, for speaking educated sense back into a faith that had lost its way among myriad complications and reductions of doctrines, slogans and gimmicks. For those who are attempting to follow Jesus and his teachings, Wright is clearly attempting to communicate without an agenda as much is as humanly possible, freely admitting and joking about his own bias(es).

DocjrayAmazing!N.T. Wright singlehandedly restores the grandeur of Christianity in these lectures! I understand Jesus and the meaning of His life/message etc. in a completely different (and more expansive) way. He makes the case that Jesus shouldn't be be shrugged off or ignored, that He was truly the focal point of history, and truly revolutionary then and now. I hope that more people discover the 'real Christianity' that Wright so eloquently and prophetically communicates!
