Like the title of this review this is one of the best, and currently my favorite, MTG podcast. I’ve been listening since episode 52 and I think I can speak for everyone by saying the episodes aren’t long enough.

Found this show after Sam appeared on the Scry Babies YouTube channel and I’m so glad I tuned in. Ostensibly, it’s a comedy advice show about Magic: the Gathering, but in reality it’s a hilarious group of friends who give you advice about how to manage life’s little frustrations while dunking on eachother. Love everything from Sam’s songs, Mike’s refusal to get the tattoo, and Tony’s reluctance to fill in for Mike on occasion (it’s in the contract, Tony) to the occasional Nick or guest appearance!

Magic: the Gathering lovers! Commander players! Silly cover song connoisseurs! Add this podcast to your rotation NOW. The boys are humorous, informative, and often dirty… Great podcast, very addictive. Came here to say the “Keep On Lovin’” parody got me to write this review. More edited songs with harmonies and backing tracks, please!! :D

I came looking to further my understanding and love for mining salt….. I found a salt unlike no other. From the depths of the howling salt mines I found a salt more salty than I have ever found. Is it from the tears of magic players causing this? The world may never know.

I honestly don’t remember how I found the podcast but so glad I did. I’ve been sacrificing my sleep schedule just so I can listen to these salty boys as much as i can. I love them and wish Sam, Tony, and Mike were all my fathers. Stay salty🧂

Yes, for sure! I’ve listened to dozens of MTG podcasts. Literally every one I’ve ever come across. There might be a better podcast out there? If so, I’ve never listened to it. The Howling Salt Mine is a masterpiece! It’s humorous and the hosts are relatable. The chemistry between the host radiates a sense of long friendships, many many games played together, grudges, payback and lots of laughter. I listen to tons of MTG content and this is the only podcast I went back to listen to old episodes of. It’s also the only MTG content that I’ve pushed on people in my life that don’t even play Magic. This podcast is truly a gem! Thanks for providing this S tier content and stay salty!

This podcast instantly became my favorite podcast. The hosts are very funny, and also seem very cool. At the time this review is being written, they are also very interactive with fans on social media, but that may change as they get the number of followers they deserve. I really appreciate how often they read card descriptions, as a newer player it has helped me learn a great deal. They have also explained the difference between EDH and CDEH, so now I want to try CEDH as well.

I love MtG and played a bunch (mostly casual) before I had kids. Finding this pod has been awesome because it really takes me back to the fun of MtG and the LGS while on my commute. The hosts seem like just fun dudes, and the format is perfect for easy, comedic, enjoyable listening, highly recommend!

I was looking for more MTG content, came across this podcast, and hoooooooly crap is it funny. I don’t even play the format and can listen from start to finish. I love the tasteful amount of cuss words and trash talk, and it’s cool how they feed off each other (e.g., GIMME A BODY!!!). I listen on Android, but used my iPad just to make this review and thank the guys for the laughs. Please keep it up.

They put our great content that really captures the feeling of spending time with your commander pod. Hilarious, relatable, and really well produced.

These guys are so good together, they don’t feel forced like some other groups and they genuinely bounce off each other making for a great listen. If I could recommend any podcast its always this one.

That boy Tony has the sexiest deep voice and I hear he is fully shaven

This podcast provides insight into EDH, makes light of salt to improve your mood, and even saved me Money (I ended up canceling a subscription for a podcast App because they were really behind on episodes). This podcast would be perfect, if only it also walked my dog and filed my taxes. Highly recommended.

I do wish that you would cut back on the profanity and stop using the Lords name in mocking and vain ways; and regrettably I’ll have to stop listening if that’s not addressed.
