22Michelle22Innovative and Insightful Diabetes Discussions!Love hearing all the innovation and insights with Stacey and her guests! Stacey makes complex diabetes topics feel personal and easy to understand. Her episode on Qvin's Q-Pad and its groundbreaking use of menstrual blood for A1C testing and diabetes management was especially fascinating!

KsparlStacey Really Gets ItAs a longtime PWD, I really value the perspectives shared by the parents of kids with diabetes. Stacey’s insights, humility, and honesty as a parent are as valuable as her segments reporting diabetes news. Great podcast!

ApplelarsAugust 22 with BennieI loved listening to you two! I appreciate how chill you both are and I really think that’s why he’s been a great manager of his T1D. I’m learning a lot and look forward to hearing more in this final year of her high school. I’m really nervous and this is helping me. Bennie is a hoot and it’s so sweet how you laugh together for so long !!
-
abseybcdhjvGood jobIt appears to me, a t1d, that you have done a good jog raising him and being able to handle his own t1d.
-

Laura SelfGreat podcast for parents of T1DsThis is a terrific podcast for the latest in Type One Diabetes news, as well as support within the community. Host Stacey Simms is professional and engaging. She asks the questions parents want to know!

SanD2023, 6.14.23A great podcast! 10/10I really love this podcast! I’ve listen to a couple of episodes and the one posted on June 13, 2023 which discussed what people with diabetes needed to know (including type 1) really stood out. This podcast was a really informative and a very relatable discussion was had between Stacey and Dr. Steven Edelman. I love how both their personalities show through the podcast… I felt like I could imagine them having this conversation (which helped me stay connected.) I love how I am constantly learning more about this community through people who also are living with diabetes. Overall, I love the podcast, the content and the guests! I will definitely be listening to the rest of the episodes. Thank you Stacey!
-
jwilcox96Real, relatable, and informative discussions about diabetes!Stacey leads these podcasts with a genuine focus to get the best facts and newest information about diabetes care. As someone with diabetes and a son of a father with diabetes as well, I find Stacey’s discussions and guests very relatable. Thank you, Stacey, for leading a trustworthy source of information for our diabetes community!

jers15Great Show with timely diabetes newsThanks for all the great information. I am on active duty with T1D and retiring soon. Your show for the past 4 years has helped me make decisions and extend my time in the military. Please keep it up.
-
JoeE 17Great Episode!Episode 529. Hearing from Stacy’s daughter was refreshing. Seeing how diabetes affected the sibling opened my eyes as to how the disease effects others rather than just the diabetics or care takers themselves. Would love to hear more interviews like this.
-
SalguodmaiGreat HostStacey had me on to discuss how diabetes impacts running marathons. She made the process very easy and edited the content wonderfully. If you listen to episode 500 you can hear more about what goes into the experience and what I went through lined up on point. I appreciate the invitation and look forward to listening to future episodes.

ReymaestroAn essential for anyone affected by T1DMy son was diagnosed in the middle of the pandemic, resources and connections in person were limited to none. This podcast was an incredible resource in figuring out his care. We decided to go for Tandem’s brand new CIQ at 3 months after diagnosis on 2021. His A1Cs have been in the 5s ever since. I really thank the podcast for helping us make the best decision possible for our son. I love staying on top of what’s new with TD1 technology and I will forever be grateful. Thank you Stacy!!!!

jattzlAnnoying hostFollow up review - I listen for the guest hosts about topics that interest me. The newest with Dexcom CEO I couldn’t miss. But again host is like scratching a chalkboard. So annoying. I only listen to host and skip her as much as possible. Discussing “seniors” was so needed and I am very grateful to have it discussed. Having T1 since I was 16 Dexcom G6 is life changing and lifesaving for seniors living alone. I have used Dexcom for years and to almost have the G6 unavailable for me when I went on Medicare scared me. But the company is so great. I was approved because of being current user and never missed a shipment. Stacy Simms the host is very annoying. She needs to stop grinning while she talks. She sounds like a teenage cheerleader. Also please remember, parents, you do not have type 1 your child does. I have compassion for the overwhelming responsibility of having your child’s control/life in your hands at first. But set boundaries. It will backfire if you don’t and they will rebel. As a T1 dx as a teen 49 years ago I am speaking from experience and it is with good intentions.

FloraDora5753Stacy Simm’s does a wonderful job advocating for folks with DiabetesStacy’s shows are entertaining, informative and timely. As technology is changing very quickly, she keeps people that want and need information, up to date on what is available for someone who needs insulin to live. As a Mom of a person with T1 diabetes ,she has dedicated her life to educating others and with so many people living with Diabetes now, it’s a huge need to educate not only the person who has Diabetes but the General Medical Community and family members. On what’s needed to live a happy and healthy life while managing this disease. The key to that is the technology and education. Stacy provides information on all that is involved. Stacy has a great voice for doing Podcasts and it’s like having a friend in the room, when listening to her show. Well done, Stacy Simms.

AgmaddieLove this show!If you’ve listened to *another* popular type 1 podcast, you’ll know what a breath of fresh air it is for the host to let the guest talk, acknowledge the privilege and high SES of the population of listeners, and CLEAN content on the show. Stacey also does a really great job of adding some things that she has experienced with Benny, but not making the topic all about herself. I don’t love the length of the ads and intro, but I just skip through it! Please don’t stop the podcast!!!

SoribuckleG7 ReviewI was hoping to hear more about how the G7 applicator would look and work. Since the transmitter is included in the G7, will each change require a new pairing?
-
RandyMolenI love this Podcast! This podcast is great! I can feel Stacy smiling through each episode. Her tone and style is so upbeat and positive! I have had T1D for 44+ years now and this show give me hope and information in a way that I can digest without searching and reading multiple sources. Keep up the food work Stacey!

MojodocMuch more important that it’s targeted nicheSince finding Diabetes Connections I’ve learned more about the greater T1D community than I ever imagined. Being an older patient and provider Stacey has helped me empathize with other PWD and grow my knowledge personally and professionally, especially related to technology. 5 stars, two thumbs up!

ShellforceMaking a splashLove this podcast. I have learned so much from listening—especially enjoy the tech episodes with Dexcom, Tandem, etc. As a mom of a newly diagnosed 4 year-old T1D, I have found much needed encouragement and tips for helping my son thrive with diabetes. Also, Cannon was excited to hear you mention him swimming in the lake 😂

Sweenfam6Can’t waitJust saw that Moira is a guest speaker at the Type One Summit in Kansas City in November. I’ve been listening to the podcast for over a year now and it has been so helpful in our T1D journey. Our daughter was diagnosed 2.5 years ago at the age of 2. I would love to hear a guest that has T1D and also Celiac (like us) to get some insight on how others manage both. Our daughter was diagnosed with Celiac this summer after red flags showed up on her yearly labs from the endocrinologist. Grateful that they screen for other autoimmune stuff. Anyway, thanks for shedding positive light on T1D and offering awesome advice for families!

Katie Joy B.Heartfelt HealthStacey and her incredibly knowledgeable guests talk all things diabetes related, but it’s so much more than that! You’ll get tons of actionable advice and tangible tips, but you’ll also get heaps of inspiration from truly engaging individuals that genuinely want to help others. Thanks so much for putting out such a spectacular show Stacey - keep up the great work!

OnlineshoppingmomSuper-informative for this new “D Mom”!I’m so glad I came across your podcast early in my son’s T1D diagnosis. As his mom, I’ve been overwhelmed from day one and I can only imagine what it’s been like for him. Every episode I listen to gives me a little more peace of mind and a little more strength and courage to take on this new way of life. I appreciate each and every episode and am binging them any chance I can get! Thanks so much for being such a beacon of hope for this worried Momma!

T1D Mom in FLGreat source of Diabetes infoThis is a wonderful way to keep up with the rapidly changing technology, research and daibetes care options. Easy to listen to and well produced. I often find myself sitting in my car in the driveway to finish an episode. When I feel completely alone in the diabetes world, I can listen to Stacey and know that other people with Type 1 and their families are out there facing the same challenges every day with perseverence, hope and grace.
