    Down to Earth Integral Wisdom
In this podcast, Jeff examines current events through the lense of integral theory, relying most heavily on developmental stages (often using the language of Spiral Dynamics) and the four quadrants. I read many of Ken Wilber's books before I began listening to The Daily Evolver, and while they were illuminating in many ways, they didn't do a great job of helping me understand how the concpets of integral theory actually apply to on-the-ground, real life events, which is where The Daily Evolver excels. It has personally helped me to get a better felt-sense of the various developmenal stages as they manifest through political figures, public discourse/debate, social movements, etc. The podcast has also given me a more hopeful sense of the "beautiful but not pretty" arc of history, which Jeff frames as moving, overall, towards greater complexity, truth, goodness, and beauty, and does so in a convincing way. The Shrink and the Pundit series with Dr. Keith Witt is also superb, and has helped me to get a much better sense of how integral theory can be effectively applied to psychology, relationships, and therapy. Some of the episodes, such as the one on regulating anxiety, have been very helpful to me personally. And they're just so fun to listen to! A frend of mine said they are like the Click and Clack of psychology.

    Perspective on world events
Jeff is great at using world events to help apply and understand integral theory. The clarity I have gained his greatly reduced my anxiety about what is happening in the world. It is also help to guide my interactions with those I may not agree with.

    One of my favorites
The Daily Evolver is one of my go-to podcasts and media programs overall. Jeff Salzman is very engaging and what I most love about him is his ability and commitment to bringing multiple worldview perspectives to bear on major issues and current events while being straight up human about it all. As a developmentalist I most appreciate the elegance with which he passionately integrates all major worldviews with clarity while being transparent about his biases and not taking himself too seriously. And it's fun and informative and I always learn something new, which is why I listen. Keep it up!

    The BEST news podcast.
If you're looking for a REALISTIC view of the news, look no further. Not only does Mr. Salzman have a more optimistic view of our current shared and future World, but by using an integral framework is much much more accurate commentator by far than any other news outlet.

Love and Evolution in the Revolving Door
I came across Jeff Salzman's podcast through a mention on Integral Life, the online community devoted to the understanding and application of Integral Theory developed by Ken Wilber. I immediately became enthralled with the programs that are of two types. The first is the "ascending current" that Jeff calls The Shrink and the Pundit where Jeff talks to psychoanalyst Keith Witt about cutting edge developments in Integral Theory. The second is the "descending current" where Jeff takes Integral Theory and uses it to illustrate current events. Both are excellent and leave you on an "integral high"!

Yes in fact things are getting better!
I have started feeling a lot more optimistic about the world since I've started to listen to these podcasts. Rather than blind optimism as a result of ignored reality, Jeff shares his truly informed optimism that has a solid foundation in facts, current events, and most of all, a broader perspective. Sick of the same old left vs right arguments? This is for you.

The Perfect Antidote to Cable News
How can you be heartened by the state and future of the world if you're really paying attention? It may depend on the lens you're looking through. An integral lens gives us the ability to cleanly shift perspectives about what's happening around the globe and in our own relationships. An evolutionary understanding allows us to use what Michael Dowd calls "deep-time eyes." Jeff can shift from world politics to pop culture to spirituality during the course of a show and it all seems to belong.
