    Love This Program
This program has been a tremendous blessing to me in my Christian faith. It allows me to launder the false doctrines that I hear from others throughout the week. Thank you Concorde matters and all the hosts over the years you have shared their time and talent show that we fellow believers and be built up in our faith!

I heartily disagree with Pastor Flamme on his portrayal of the Sons of Solomon. Based on his invective, we shouldn’t pray the Psalter each day - much less morning and evening. Legalism perhaps? By any chance, did he reach out to Pastor Fisk directly about his concerns FIRST? You know, brother to brother instead of relaying gossip. So disappointed!

    Happy to find this podcast
I recently purchased the Book of Concord and wanted to find a study group locally but none existed. I found this podcast so now I have a study group. Thank you.

Love but wish to share my 2 cents about current series (9/4/21)
Excellent podcast, a superb cut above the rest and my favorite. Rev. Sean Smith, the host, does an outstanding job with this. The ongoing series on the Catechized Life, with Rev. Mark Bestul, Pastor of Calvary Lutheran Church in Elgin, IL, is the first of this wonderful podcast to which I’ve listened. I agree with much but regularly encounter points which I do not. For example, in his discussion of the Lord's Prayer, he insisted that the breath/pause typically inserted between “Thy will be done” and “on earth as it is in heaven” causes some confusion or distortion of its meaning. However, I have always paused where he disapproves and yet have always interpreted its meaning exactly as he teaches it should be interpreted. Another example is his insistence that the “coexist “ concept means that Christians are saying they agree with other faith. This is a common misinterpretation of the concept. It is not what the coexist concept means at all. It may have been twisted to mean that by some but its true and original meaning is that all people can exist in peace with all people, including all those of other faiths. Finally, his comments on the Oct 23, 2021 episode about COVID, masks etc are just not accurate. I don’t object to Pastors speaking up about such issues in a Christian context but I strongly object to them misrepresenting the proven life-or-death facts and wish they would stick to their very influential lane and also at least recognize and clarify when their opinions are just their opinions and not the Word of GOD not necessarily right. Meanwhile, I’m very grateful for the host and with the program and podcast as a whole. Thank you very much to the host for all his work that goes into it.

Good on theology; questionable on history
The theological discussions are excellent and informative. The occasional programs on history are hit-and-miss, with incorrect historical facts being presented and interpretations of history being made mostly through modern world views rather than attempting to understand historical events as society was at that time. It would help to have true historians on the show rather than relying on pastors who might read history as a hobby as historical “experts.” Listen for the theological discussion, but avoid the episodes claiming to teach history.

    Book of Concord Christ-Confessing Catechesis
Pastor Sean Smith leads a cohort of Christ-confessing Concordians through the rich and timeless Book of Concord. Each Tuesdays show drop is a highlight of my week. Stellar audio quality and production. Keep confessing church!

    I love the side bars!!!!
This is a fantastic show that brings tremendous clarity to the confessions. Pastor Smith and the usual cohort of Christ Confessing Concordians make this very serious topic FUN without sacrificing the solid meat. They obviously love Christ, the confessions, each other and yes Pastor Smith, Walther as well.
