I'm so glad I found this podcast. Loved the ways of finding budget leaks- auto- renewals have bitten me in the butt so many times!, I also loved the grocery savings- I've been buying "closed date" items for the last year or two and it works. I have learned so many saving tips! Plus I enjoy listening because this host rocks with his voice! Seriously! He has the radio voice that I love :)

I’ve listened to about 5 of these podcasts, and I can’t say I’m very motivated to listen to many more. This is an honest review, whereas the podcaster is regularly giving freebies for listeners to give 5 star reviews (not an uncommon practice, I know). I’m not a super shopper/couponer, and I don’t intend to go spend lots of money just so I can feel good about “saving” money, so this is not a podcast for me. The end of the podcast gives the week’s deals, but I feel like this encourages you to go spend more money. Example: I found myself thinking, “Yeah, that is a good price for a 2 liter of soda. Maybe I should go get that. Wait a minute, I don’t even like soda!” So if you like extreme couponing (or maybe even moderate couponing), you might enjoy his tips on weekly deals, etc. He also gives advice that I don’t agree with. Examples: taking out a car loan if you suddenly need a vehicle, following your credit score as crucial. He recently unfairly represented those that don’t “worship at the altar of the great FICO,” as Dave Ramsey would put it. Just because someone doesn’t follow their credit score doesn’t mean they have bad credit or they are ignorant about their financial situation. Many of these people have healthy financial habits and monitor their info for identity theft. As a minor point, he seems to ramble on quite a bit. i think the episodes could be shortened by 10-20 minutes if he more closely followed some notes and got to the point a little more quickly. But perhaps that would take out too much of his conversational tone, and that’s just a personal choice. You could always listen to it at 2x speed on your phone. So if you’re obsessed with shopping or love to do that as a hobby, or you’re a couponer, you might enjoy saving on your favorite pastime by listening to this podcast. Otherwise, I refer you to MoneyPlanSOS with Steve Stewart (focuses on debt reduction) or Joshua Sheets (focuses on investments). P.S. I do like coupons, and use them regularly, but have cut back on this due to my realization that it often leads to unnecessary purchases. I find that living abundantly is living more simply with less “stuff."

I have been listening to this podcast for around a month now, and I. AM. HOOKED. I look forward to every new episode - so many helpful apps, tips, deals, and coupons - of course! Last month I saved around $70, and I'm not even that good at this whole enlightened shopping thing yet! The info and coupons provided complement my obsessive compulsive tendencies for some enjoyable and crazy organized shopping trips! Thanks, Josh!
