LostbonsaiRefreshing and informativeNO ADS!!! I love the pace and tone of this podcast. No one is trying to be more clever than anyone else; it’s just earnest, solidly informative and fascinating. I do sometimes use it to fall asleep, but I turn it right back on in the morning to try to pick up what I missed. There aren’t many episodes, but they’re all gems. Such a wide scope, and such pure curiosity and fascination. And — did I miss something? no ads! I know everyone’s got to make ends meet, but I’m grateful for the reprieve from constant advertising. Thank you! I hope there are more releases in the future.

Cindy AfonigutGreat ContentI came across this podcast while picking up gardening and I love how in-depth the interviews go! I’ve learned so much already. I do wish there was a more consistent update, I’ve listened to all the episodes already and look forward to more amazing info. Keep up the great work here and on the other “Sustainable” podcast!

14SeattleGreat podcast! This is my favorite podcast, hands down. The long format provides a natural flow and enough depth to be interesting and informational. The host is kind, interested, and has a voice that is easy to listen to. I have learned a lot from these about each plant. I am so excited whenever a new one comes out.

malexizoreEducational!I learned so much about Amaranth which I have in my garden. I had no idea how rich, nutritious and easy to grow it is! Thank you for your work and the brilliant people you interview. You are true heros in moving us toward a more sustainable future.

oatmeal cowboyi love this podcast!!jill is an amazing host and educator, and shes certified in permaculture design. people writing this podcast bad reviews are listening for the wrong things. jill interviews experts with extensive experience in the field that implement permaculture practices, which include SOCIAL science topics like appropriate human use of plants and bringing back traditional knowledge. if you want straight up botany lessons, you can do some googling, but i dont know why you would do that when this podcast contains such wisdom and practical knowledge. while youre googling, do some research on “invasive” plants. you’ll be surprised at how important and helpful they can be. or you can just listen to jill’s calming voice tell you all about it :)

native naziNot a good plant podcastAll about the use of plants for people, and not about the plants themselves, no concern for the environmental impact of invasive plants. Mulberry episode prime example. Do better research, don’t advocate for invasive plants.

Adlumia fungosaBoo This PodcastFor a podcast called "The Plant Report" the content is pretty human. I was hoping to hear stories about botany but all I got was boring folklore and a human-centered view of the plant world. Instead of the tagline "Every Plant Has A Story" it should read "Only plants that have a use are worth talking about."
