    Very Educational
I found your podcast through JL Collin’s book, The simple path to wealth. I have been listening to your podcast for a little more than six months and slowly working through each episode and reading/listening to the books as I listen to the episode or after. I have been treating It is like a reading list with a discussion afterwards. I have learned a lot and probably wouldn’t have picked up these books otherwise, but very glad that I have read them. I am going to be very sad when I have listened to all of them. I loved that he has touched on more than how to become FI and includes topics that include life after FI and how it might not be as imagined. I have changed my thoughts about FI and what it means to me. Also I feel more prepared for the future. Thanks for the great work!!!

The latest episode (2023-08-23) has an audio echo, I haven’t heard this in other MadFientist episodes.

I’m so glad I found this podcast
Highly recommended. I started listening a month or two ago. I’m halfway through the episodes and can’t wait until I have to drive somewhere or walk the dog so I can listen to more! Very inspiring and completely doable!

    A bit cringy
I’ve learned a few good things from this podcast. But I’ve started to cringe when I see a new episode drop. There is too much “I” and “me” that makes it feel self centered. Maybe it’s time for me to move on anyway.

    Great information
I’m new to PODCASTS in general. This is the one so far where I had to go to the beginning and start listening and I will not stop till I run out. I have found so much great information and I love all the book recommendations. I started listening to other finance advice but none that shared so much useful insight. Thanks for the quality information, it is much appreciate it.

Super helpful and no sales pitch
I love listening to the Mad Fientist. He is bright, honest, and seems to be doing this because he genuinely enjoys it. I love that his podcast doesn’t try to sell me a product.

    Dear Fientist
Long time listener, first time poster. This is the only podcast I’ve ever listened to front to back. Great and diverse set of topics for anyone considering financial independence. I learned something from every episode.

A lot of Great Details on getting to FI
I love the strategies and thought process this podcast brings!! My wife and I are in pursuit of FI and working to get there. I enjoy learning different strategies and this podcast is a great resource for that. I particularly enjoy the perspective on how FI should be for you to enjoy.

    My favorite podcast
I always tell people new to FI to listen to this podcast. So many different ways to financial independence shown on this podcast. Also the host is so kind and intelligent. I can tell he’s doing this because he cares and not for self-promotion.

    A Wealth of Knowledge
I've learned an absolute ton from the Mad Fienstist. He's willing to go into hard core topics that most podcasts don't touch.

Such a niche podcast and I love it!
Thank you for all of the valuable information and encouragement on my FI journey. I am very grateful for all that I have learned from you and your guests. New episode soon, please?

Great source for information on Financial Independence!
Mad Fientist is awesome. He interviews some of the best in personal finance. He is super chill and open minded. He is a little dry and can be monotone, but that’s just his style. Other podcasts are more eccentric than this one. Overall, it has great info and great guests featured.

    Collection Of Wisdom
What a great series of interviews by people who have “won the game”, including the interviewer himself. If you were to only just follow a fraction of the advice given here by these successful people, the majority of us should be able live better lives.

Monday’s episode on Corona was perfect
I have always really enjoyed your perspective and podcasts. I have to tell you, this Monday’s episode on Corona was the best! As you said, people’s health and safety are far more important. But, people are also rightly afraid of the economic situation. It feels like a lot all at one time. You guys did a great job of discussing it analytically and providing some historical perspective. Job well done! I’ve recommended this episode to many people. Thank you!
  • random00b
Thank you for the special episode
Of course, long time listener, first tim reviewer. I wanted to thank you & JL Collins for the special episode "Coronavirus Market Crash." It was sorely needed perspective in the hurricane that is COVID-19's impact on the American (global?) economy. It's not all doom & gloom, as long as you've thought about how you would deal with situations like this beforehand...and even if you haven't!

    Great Podcast
The interviews are interesting and well done. There is a lot to be learned. Brandon is a nice guy and is always cooking up something good in the lab.

    Motivating and informative.
3 years ago in 2016, I stumbled upon this podcast on a cross-country road trip. Feeling inspired by what I was hearing, I vowed to become more intentional with my work, my time, and my money. I used the information that I was learning to pay off $25,000 in student loans in 4 months while maxing out a 401k in the same period. This podcast has guests that cover such a wide berth of the financial independence movement, that almost anyone can learn something with each newly released episode. Today, I frequently listen back to past episodes to remain motivated on my own journey to financial independence and to pick up any tidbits that I may have missed or that didn’t apply to my situation at the time of first listening but now do. It’s truly been life-changing.

    Clear explainations and great content
I enjoyed the clear explanations of things that are not always discussed. It’s easy to find conversations about the basics like saving/investing more and spending less but I’m seeking more depth to the FI discussion and I found it here! Things like how to analyse the cost basis of my investments and how to shift away from growth to income generation etc. Keep the episodes coming!

Great content, extremely helpful podcast. Listened to every episode. It’s got me on FIRE ;)

    Excellent financial independence podcast
Thank you for gathering and sharing this information for others to learn from. It is one thing to read and know the numbers of FI planning, but hearing people's stories adds another important dimension. The episodes show there are many paths one can take to FI and that you don't have to follow one particular person's FI advice exactly. You can take bits from various sources and make your own plan.
  • Financialfireball
    Very insightful!! Heading towards FI
    Listened and love it !!

    Great podcast!!
Each episode is to the point and very impactful. The information from each podcast is very helpful.
  • @drussnetwork
Simple and straight to the FI topics we care about
I really love this podcast because it’s simple, it’s not over done with too much production, and the guests are fantastic. I also like that it’s easy to keep up with, shows that post too often add too much complexity and it makes it hard to feel a part of the hosts journey. Great stuff! Learning a ton!

Great Message, Great Host, Great Podcast
This podcast has changed my future financial and life goals for the better. Couldn’t have done it without you!

    Stay Mad brother
Brandon - your podcast has been instrumental in converting my wife to FIRE. It has given my crazy (to her initially) proposals of lifestyle changes and anticipated outcomes external validation. You’re changing the world, man!

    Great podcast
Definitely my favorite FI podcast. I get excited every time I see a new episode in my queue. Please keep them coming and thank you for the quality work you put in!
  • Robebear
    Concise and effective!!
I really enjoy this podcast. It gets into the “nuts and bolts” of FI and also the emotional aspects of the journey. Both are so necessary to secure a successful outcome and desired contribution to community. Appreciate the host’s and his guests’ willingness to share their story.
  • Normal Jamie
    My favorite!
This is by far my favorite podcast on personal finance. Brandon is smart and genuinely interested in learning from each guest and sharing with the audience! I feel like a lot of other podcasts I listen to are about self promotion first and have a lot of gimmicks or sales pitches. This one is just good. I learn a lot. I’m never annoyed. And, I like the deep dive into each topic. Above all, Brandon’s curiosity serves as all well! Please do more episodes!!!
  • JG2001001
    Favorite FI Podcast!
Brandon (aka Mad Fientist) does an amazing job with his blog and podcast. His approach really connects with me and all of his podcasts are well organized and relevant regardless of the topic. He pulls in diverse guests across the FI community, but I find great ideas and nuggets from each episode. Keep up the great work!
