the bird ladyThis is the first podcast I listened when I purchased a used ipod and still my favorite.to DragnetThis podcast introduced me to old radio shows. I am hooked on Dragnet and listen to it every day. I am on my third time and and still enjoy it. Dragnet,it's humor and drama are addicting. The commentary gets old after the first time but I still listen. Check out the rest of Old Time radio Detectives. They may not be Dragnet but they are good.

McKnitteyFun for the whole familyI did not appreciate the development of the police procedural until I began listening to this podcast. I appreciate the work Adam does. Thank you.

FanSKWhatHave loved your coverage of Dragnet and Jack Webb here and on Great Detectives. With Dragnet episodes tunning out and your consideration of procedure shows, please look at 21st Precinct. Its focus was on the everyday life at a New York City precinct. It also used NYC actors who are not represented on many of the early radio series

Robert MambuHow I got hooked to Dragnet!Hello Adam!! I have been listening to your podcast for a while now and it's funny that Mathnet kind of brought you to the discovery of Dragnet. I remember watching the Square One TV/Mathnet episodes when I was little. I recently found the episodes of Mathnet on you tube and it was great to see them again. From the missing baseball to the bermuda triangle caper, I thought the story lines were hilarious. Kate Monday played by Beverly Leech and George Frankly played by Joe Howard were exactly like Sgt Friday and his partners and how they used mathematics was brilliantly configured into the story. I watched Dragnet with my grandfather and thats the reason I watched the legendary show. I thought I would share how I got hooked to Dragnet.

sportster65Great radio, great host!As a longtime subscriber to this podcast, I can say it just seems to get better each week. Adam puts a lot of time and care into these podcasts and it shows. If you love the classics, look no further, you have found the best. If you subscribe, prepare to be in it for the long haul, you're going to find yourself anxiously awaiting each Saturday for the next episode to upload. Of the podcasts I subscribe to, this is far and away the best. Thanks, and keep up the good work Adam!

Dosh91OMG!Thank you thank you thank you! Where to start? :) I particularly liked the Dr. Kildare episode. It's nice to hear some of Jack Webb's characters have a happy ending (Ring of Thoth, Escape, for an example will have you in tears.) And the Big Ben?! Totally took me by suprise! I had seen the TV version, so when Joe got shot, I fell out of my perverbial chair! Thanks again, Adam, and keep up the good work!

minnielouSimply the Best!I can honestly say, I wait anxiously for this podcast every week. Having been a Dragnet fan since high school when I watched the 1960's version on 'Nick at Nite' with my dad, I was very excited to find this podcast when I purchased my first iPod several years ago. Thanks for all your hard work and enthusiasm with this and the Great Detectives!

iPhonerarooniMy favorite podcastAdam, will this replace your other Dragnet podcast? Audio content seems the same but this one adds videos. I remember you mentioned this on this air, so I just searched for it and subscribed. Can I unsubscribe from your other one? (Seems a bit risky changing a very popular podcast this way, as some people won't find this new one. You might want to leave the other one up for a long while yet.) And keep up the great work! While critics are a dime a dozen, I don't know too many people who could have kept this up for so long, learning as they went along. You've "outlived" the naysayers, and I enjoy the folksy commentary, momentary malaproprisms, and all the other touches that make this an authentic and incredibly dedicated effort to share what you love with the world. Look for something in your tip jar from me. (Might not be obvious who it's from, but compared to my cable bill, you're more entertaining (I rarely watch TV) and a whole lot cheaper. Add in Great Detectives and this is quite a bargain! :)
