    Interesting listen!
Love this podcast! Helpful would be a list of the houses you are presenting or please enunciate their names more clearly!:)

    Absolutely fascinating!!
Found this podcast after listening to the Guilded Gentleman podcast with his guest Curt DiCamillo and wanted to find out more about Country Houses. Boy did I!! Wow!! This podcast and your knowledge are amazing. I can’t wait to hear more episodes!! I agree that a clickable list of talked about houses from the episodes would be great. Also the movies /tv shows you mention where houses are featured. Just recently saw The Shooting Party -wonder if that movie figures into this topic. Keep up the great work! Can’t wait to hear more!💕

    Great podcast!
I recently took my first trip to England and fell in love with architecture and old buildings that I seen. I wished I could just go exploring in each one. I don’t get to spend much time outside of London, but after listening to this podcast, I can’t wait for my next trip so I can get out to the country and see some of the awesome homes that are discussed and actually have some knowledge about them. Thanks for the great show!!!

    A breath of fresh air
It’s like this podcast was made for me! The history of large country houses is one of my special interests and started when I was a child looming over a large book about Chatsworth that my grandmother kept of her coffee table. Keep up the good work! This American is loving every episode.

A seemingly straightforward podcast that gets at the heart of what English charm actually is.
I originally started following this podcast hoping to learn a few more things about elusively charming English Country House. Though the gentleman behind CHP do indeed share their knowledge on country house architecture & design, they delve below the surface to explore what exactly makes up the enigma that is “what is quintessentially English?”. I have caught myself applauding almost every episode for its depth of analysis, respect for heritage, and perspective on the future. My personal favorite was episode 10 - an excellent discussion on the distinction between progress for progress sake and lasting growth & development. Well done, guys, can’t wait to hear more.

    Escapism with a Purpose
I listen to each episode multiple times —first for pure entertainment, then to research the people and places mentioned. Very, very well done.

    Charming and thoughtful
The Country House hosts provide a delightful conversation about the world and significance of English country houses. There is so much to learn and appreciate about this topic, and this podcast gives a great introduction. Would you consider adding show notes to each episode, with the names of each country house you mention and links to examples of what you mention (be it images of architectural features or houses themselves)? That would expand the teaching nature of what you offer.
