    Im sorry but…
Does Jourdan Rodrigue bother anyone else ? it’s like she’s a beat writer who just gets a lot of pop because her team is across the street from NFL Media.

    Repetitive and Disconnected
Really bad editing. Just all over the place. Repeats audio clips, jumping from one audio to another of disconnected stories, if you don’t know what happened with these teams year to year, you won’t know what they are taking about. Just the worst editing job.

Great recommendation from Move The Sticks
I must thank DJ from Move the Sticks for recommending this podcast. It is a fascinating look at the evolution of modern offense and defense in the NFL. If you love Xs and Os or just enjoy thinking about matchups and how systems of play evolve, I think a coach of any sport would be fascinated by this series. I loved the insight on Vic Fangio too. Listen to how Mike McDaniel sees a play that San Diego State runs versus Air Force. He installs it in 2018 and now you see that play all over the NFL. All sorts of nuggets like that. Listen and then go rewatch the 2018 Rams vs Bears game and see how Vic Fangio rolled out the blueprint for how to stop McVay and the Rams. A fascinating listen. I want a basketball version of something like this. Well done!

Any episode will be the best podcast you listen to this year.
I heard Jourdan Rodrigue talking to Marc Sessler on the ATN pod, Marc spoke very positively about this series and I agree. This is a great listen.

Straight fire of a podcast here. The accessibility to the coaches is really incredible and the production is smooth. Da Bears

    shallow
this was honestly a pretty shallow and contrived podcast series with a watered down view of schematic evolution in the nfl and a ham-fisted biology/physics analogy for offensive schemes themselves. the series was probably at its best focusing on the people and coaches behind the offensive evolution (like the “piss boys” anecdote) and at its worst when trying to wax poetically about the growth and evolution of the mcvay/shanahan coaching tree. i’d much rather listen to uncut tapes of mcvay, shanahan, saleh, lafleur, and mcdaniel talking about their teams and personal evolution as playcallers than the forced narration that rodrigue tries to shoehorn in between these soundbites.

A great look at the ShanaVay coaching tree
The scripting and narration of this series is well done, with an excellent balance of the coaches themselves, those who worked with them, and media members. It’s well-paced, provides both a history of the McVay/Shanahan coaching tree and it’s future. It is yet another great addition to The Athletic’s podcast series. A must listen for football fans

    Football Lovers’ MUST LISTEN
Jourdan and her team deftly flow through the interconnecting stories and schemes of these league-changing coaches. From where it started to where it’s going, if you love football and you can’t get enough and you haven’t listened yet… what are you even doing? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Great Series!
This was one of the best narrative audio series of the last 5-10 years. Great details and highlighting personalities of the coaches. Great job Jourdan! I hope there is more of shows like this.

Had to binge the entire thing on one drive.. Then went back for a second listen a few days later. A must-listen for anyone who loves the sport!
