The topics, recommendations, guest, etc are all so important in the podcast space. Love it, keep it up!

The episodes consistently feel less about the books and more about the host’s personal interests, with books as framing devices. The Tarantino episode made this really clear. I am not sure why, if he and his guest were struggling to talk about the book because of a lack of base knowledge on the subject, they wouldn’t watch one of the movies that Tarantino discusses in the episode. The podcast is interesting if you are interested in the host’s adjacent thoughts on whatever the book is about, but if you’re interested in the books, how they are written, what is successful or not, just read the books.

Nathan is incredibly thoughtful and well spoken. This podcast is such a fabulous discourse on societal issues facing us today. You will learn so much and feel so founded in the things you were already aware of when they talk about the problems facing us today.

Nathan is one of the most thoughtful and incisive people and readers out there. I’m so grateful for the way Nathan makes space for important conversations while also elevating the way people think about nonfiction as a genre. It’s about time! Brilliant and all the stars for this podcast and this host.

I wish my friends read books this good! In the meantime, I get a huge kick out of Schizophrenic Reads.

Loved this talk. I never read Lenin because i honestly found him confusing. But this podcast explained this so well.
