This podcast is so entertaining. No idea what their talking about most of the time but as a recovering taco I must surrender to a higher power. While listening I have no thoughts about relapsing back into a taco so maybe that’s the point. I like watching the video version too it’s very stimulating and there are no tacos periphinealia

I love the chemistry between the two of them and my personal favorite parts are when they get off topic from anime and start ranting about other things that sometimes lead to the funniest bits in the show

Omg you guys saved me. I am a reader and a watcher, NO ITS NOT WHAT YOU THNK I'M SAYING! But i love to read books and watch shows and my sister loves podcasts. But she alwaus tries to get me to listen to podcats because apartently it's "a nice medium between reading and shows." I disagree. I hated podcasts. BUT. Because of this i can say i listen to podcasts because of you.

They are so much fun to listen too every week. Their chemistry together is off the charts. From Nick always traveling to Danny absolutely destroying his vocal chords. I was all of these guys videos from nchammer23 to the weeb commander and Danny’s videos.

These guys are definitely the funniest creators in the anime game

In relation to the cgi anime discussion, PLEASE look into land of the lustrous! It’s a cgi anime that used 2d for the face animation and used the cgi style to its advantage with the gem based characters. The camera work is AMAZING.

Was a fan of Nick’s but decided to start listening on the wrong episode. I didn’t find it funny that they would make fun of Toriyama’s death. You don’t have to like his work, but you should never make jokes and laugh about someone’s death. Tuned out after that.

But when ever it’s not just nick and Danny it’s not as funny

Most specific culture/media based podcasts simply put are not this funny. The hosts of OA have a dynamic and chemistry that is head and shoulders above every other Anime podcast I’ve listened to, so do yourself a favor and give it a shot!

Nick is a ego god! He is sooooo annoying and shouldn’t ever make content again. His hairline is pushed back to the 80’s. And Danny has wig arms

I came when I finished listening to “noodle shop podcast” after they got canceled. And by god do I love that I did. These guys are so funny and about 9/10 times have great takes. I can never tell which I want more of from these guys, the anime or the personal talk. Honestly would still listen if they had a separate podcast just for an hour and a half cold open.

Nick is smart and well informed about all things anime which works well with Danny’s comedy and stories about life. The off-topic rants are the best parts.

I’m not really a podcast person but the highlight of my week is always Nick and Danny. I really enjoy Nicks smart, well informed thoughts and opinions on what’s going on currently in anime news. And I always feel my favorite side of anime represented with Danny’s thoughts and opinions. Not only are they informative but they’re cold opens are always hilarious. 10/10 recommend.

When nicks not sucking off his own ego this podcast is great I do enjoy their chemistry and the knowledge they both have it’s definitely a great listen to while I’m at work drudging the day away

This is really a good podcast. Usually some of the Anime podcast are kind of bad, but this one I would watch all day.

A lot of talking about nothing and how “great” they think they are. Stick to informative YouTube videos, this is a horrible podcast.

I usually listen to this podcast on YouTube while I'm falling asleep. Danny Motta is hilarious and is what keeps me coming back every Sunday. I like Nick's takes, and he clearly knows his stuff. The only thing annoying is the amount Nick talks about his wealth. He's successful and rich and isn't afraid to bring it up allllllll the time. At least once an episode. Overall, I love their dynamic and it's clear they are having fun together. It's enjoyable to listen to!

Just listened to the first episode. Danny’s audio was really warped which made it hard to listen to, and it was definitely more stream of consciousness/conversation style than “here are some things we’re going to discuss chronologically”. It wasn’t bad and these two get on a roll, I was walking my dog and I’m sure looked crazy laughing aloud at times! I did have a hard time following the conversation and will probably put this on more when I need some background noise, like when I’m cooking etc, since I don’t feel like it’s anything too serious where you really need to follow everything.

I love you guys so much and want you guys to keep going!!!

Monday morning, the sun is shining in the sky, there ain’t a cloud in sight. My phone alarms start ringing, I get up and get into the work truck. I turn on my 2019 ONN. RUGGED SM GRY speaker, “power on” it tells me. A chime plays then it informs me “Bluetooth connected”. That’s when the show really begins. I select “Otakus Anonymous” and I let er’ run. From there I’m the 54 year old divorced father who has weekend custody. Monday to Friday is my time to shine. And yes I did just buy a yellow 1987 Pontiac Fiero and you Better believe it’s the one with the T top, and that it’s off. With my hair flowing in the wind I have Lynard Skynards 1973 hit “FREEBIRD” blasting on the original factory speakers. This is true freedom I think. That’s what I get from this podcast. Stop to stop, Danny and Nicks seamless chemistry and prolevel banter, that’s something of marvelous feat. I see comments about “it’s not really so much anime” “they get sidetracked a lot” “LA GUYS”. I don’t really know what some of these people want. I’m sure there’s a local book club if that’s what you’re looking for. Go outside get some fresh air drink an Arizona. I’m here for Nick, and now Danny as well. It’s genuinely my favorite podcast. I’m upset it’s not biweekly. It’s a very great start to my week of driving 10 hours a day. I’m looking forward to merch. Thank you.

Honestly I think the guys have great chemistry for a podcast which might be one of the more important things when it comes to having a podcast that’s enjoyable to listen to. Do they go off topic some? Yeah for sure they do but in my opinion that’s not a bad thing because it helps add to the conversations feeling more natural an fun so idk why that’s such a big issue for some ppl. With all that being said. You can definitely tell they live in LA lol They have a very liberal LA attitude that can come off a little smug at times. Over all I like them both though but that’s the only thing that kills me.

The hosts are obnoxious and honestly don’t talk anime much. It’s less of a podcast and more of a “2 guys who like anime hangout” and NC guy comes off as trying way too hard. Personally not for me.

It’s an amazing podcast but it doesn’t quite know what it wants to be, as in it feels like more of a personal experience rather than an anime podcast. Update it’s not an anime podcast in nicks words there are so many anime podcasts out there so do what you will with this information. ( stop reviewing as an anime podcast )

Whenever I’m out for a walk or just minding my own business I put on this podcast on Yt and just listen with the occasional ad. Now that I herd that this is in Apple Podcasts I’m glad i can listen to danny ramble about stuff while laughing about it

The podcasters come off very arrogant, especially Connor. Pretty off-putting overall and they don’t really talk about anime.

I don’t know why people are being dicks in the comments, It’s a podcast, it’s not that deep. If you don’t enjoy it don’t listen🙄 Keep it up!

I’ve listened to all of their episodes so far and none of the bad reviews ring true, they give their opinions on topics and go off topic but still keep it entertaining and do eventually get back on topic and round out the podcast in a complete way

It’s literally like hanging out with your hot anime nerd friends. Always a good time and easy to listen too. Hope the OF is dropping soon 💁🏻‍♂️

If you listen it’s hilarious, but these are two ADHD weebs so they don’t stay on topic at ALL they’ll go off about their life and it’s awesome, just don’t expect it to be an “anime” podcast ALL the time

I thought it was an anime podcast, but the first 30 mins are talking trash about some YouTuber, pedophelia, child grooming, and soliciting nudes from minors..? It’s ok because later they’re joking about girls going down on them with underwear that looks blood stained I guess. One of the guys really is into social media drama and mocking others and the other just seems to be along for the ride. They say over and over that they’re not going to spend the entire podcast on the drama, but then create new fake drama to talk about. I think they’re trying to be funny, but the audience for this is people who are really into social media drama and celebrity gossip type of stuff. If you want an anime podcast, there’s plenty to chose from, but these guys just want more subscribers to their YouTube channel to feel superior to other YouTubers.

Gross content about doing obscene things to GI Joe!! That’s not even anime. I think you need to change the rating from clean to disgusting.
