She has truly impressive insights into the self sabotaging /self-limiting thoughts and actions that interior designers experience. Sometimes it feels like she has eavesdropped on my brain. It’s nice to know I am not alone in various undesirable patterns. I have recommended to my friends and I recommend to any designer who wants to grow.

Desi is absolutely the best if you want the best of life and your business! What I love about listening to Desi’s podcast is that it is the perfect balance of knowing what you are going to get and likewise not knowing what you are going to come away from after listening to an episode. Desi's format and delivery in her podcast is easy to digest and predictable. It's easy to incorporate into my daily life with my kids and easy to pause and pick up. I admit I often rewind because I get distracted and I want to make sure not to miss any of what Desi shares. While I have not yet listened to every single While I have not yet listened to every episode, I know that Desi is a coach that stands above the rest. And she does so with a steady and sincere presence. Desi's advice always leaves me looking at a habit or encounter or challenge with an insight that actually SHIFTS things. I truly look at things from a new and also more forgiving perspective. I like that Desi keeps you moving forward steadily, which is ultimately what will lead to successful businesses. The faster we can recognize and recover ourselves, the less likely we are to have that same issue pull at us the next time. And when those challenges do arise, you are equipped to face them without judgement. She has great poise in how she conducts her podcast--it is not a roller coaster where you are getting really jazzed about something and then learning too many details about an issue in the next. The issues she discusses are generic enough that they could help ANYONE wherever they are in their business, even if it isn't interior design. An industry outsider could listen to this and walk away with just as much as a designer would. It is just that the examples and understanding is rooted in interior design and that gives me comfort and builds Desi's credibility to speak directly to designers. Although I don't know Desi personally, she strikes me as being a great example of having the ability "to say anything as long as you have a smile on your face." This is meant as a compliment--while many people, myself included, find it difficult to tell people things that you can't control how they'll be received and fear it could be negative. Desi's manner and approach is matter-of-fact and SO sincere, and SO spot on! You can tell she cares truly and pushes herself so that she can continue to be better to serve others and exponentially improve the industry. As a new designer starting out, I know I will be better to soak up every nugget of Desi's advice and awareness to get myself off on the right foot, but most importantly, to keep moving forward. Give her a listen. She isn't like any other coach out there. She is walking the walk and sharing insights about herself that have given me lots of "ah-ha" moments. Thank you so much Desi. I feel blessed to have found your podcast and will not be losing track of you and your wise wise soul anytime soon!

I love listening to Desi's podcasts. Each one speaks to me as I go through my interior design business journey as did espisode 42. I'm working through an issue with a design client and the podcast really brought me back to center where I need to stop and focus or think about an issue more thoroughly. I love or maybe "hate" how Desi makes you really think about everything. It's truly the thought processes we go through that can make or break our days. We can choose a different thought process that enables us to think or reflect and not just react. We can choose to learn and grow or fail forward and not dwell in the mistakes and choose a negative mindset. Progress not perfection!
