krisp1€Highly recommendCarrie- each of your episodes is so spot on- honest, educational, encouraging and with immediate action steps. The issues you cover are critical for habit change and as a family physician myself I have been recommending your podcast to many of my patients. Thank you for what you do! I plan on having my kiddos (15 and 12) listen to an episode today that is even relevant to their life.

pulmdocmomBest on mindsetListening to Carrie always helps me reframe my mindset about my lifestyle which is really the key for me. Somehow her episodes are always relatable for me. I wonder if she’s in my brain. I love this podcast.

Jill FlippinGreat! So glad I found this podcast! Carrie provides reliable information and is relatable.

Megan.Clark4Highly recommend!I love this podcast! It’s one of the only resources I’ve found that effectively digs into the mindset work that is needed for lifestyle change and weight loss. The examples are relatable and the advice is actionable. Carrie advocates for setting small goals for yourself, crushing those small goals and building on those goals over time. She gives advice on how to come off “auto-pilot” and start self-monitoring to identify ways to improve your eating and exercise habits in a manageable way. For those burned out on fad diets and 30 day weight loss programs and want to learn another, more sustainable way- this is a must listen!!

Angie490Life Changing!Carrie will not waste a moment of your time. Her podcast is packed with practical information and skill-building techniques. She is honest and vulnerable but shows tough love where it’s needed. She generously shares her hard-won knowledge and this has changed my understanding of eating, thinking, and moving for the better. I can’t thank you enough, Carrie.

Ksf95One of the BEST podcasts ever!!I’m also a CPT and I find that listening to this podcast makes more sense to me than my professors or books trying to explain the science. Not only is it straight to the point, but it’s applicable and realistic! Thank you!!!

Christine GunselmanAgreeI think all of the information is great, I fully agree with her tactics and ideas on how to exercise/eat/etc. I basically follow all of her advice and did so before I started this podcast, but it’s good to hear the science behind it. I don’t think this information needs to apply only to moms who work outside the home though. Also, the vocals are perhaps, a little too peppy.

docXmomWhat’s new and good? This podcast!A few months ago I saw a screenshot of this podcast in a social media group for physician moms - I checked out an episode and really enjoyed the content. Since then I have listened to every episode and I look forward to my Wednesday morning commute so that I can catch the newest release. As a surgeon mom of 2 young kids I am focused on maximizing quality time with my family and doing everything I can to be able to live a long and healthy life. Carrie has helped me understand better how my thoughts influence my words and actions. The content focus each week keeps these ideas on the forefront and have really helped me set and reach attainable goals. Focusing on the process and the elements in my control have been instrumental in my success. I came for the fitness advice - I stayed for the guidance on improving my thought process. Thank you, Carrie!
-
daisy859Straightforward. Focus on fitness.I was looking for a podcast that had information on fitness, health, strength, and not just weight loss. I wanted to start using weights and working on strength and did not know where to begin. This podcast has been a great resource. Her workout videos on YouTube are also terrific.

Mbh711Don’t let the title scare you awayI am no longer a working mom (retired) and am a grandmother of 3 who is definitely not strong but working on it. I am so glad that I found this podcast. Carrie will guide you to look at things differently. Stay in the game and just do something are my new go to phrases. Thank you Carrie!!

caroniebPractical and ChallengingCarrie does a wonderful job of breaking down topics into practical teaching that can be applied. Six weeks ago I started counting macros and wanted to learn more which is how I found Carrie’s show. I binged listened to every episode starting back at the beginning in a week. Now I look forward to listening to her new episode each week. I have learned so much more than counting macros. I appreciate Carrie’s medical expertise as a doctor, and I truly appreciate her life coaching advise. In one of her episodes, she emphasizes setting small goals. I was not exercising at all so I set a goal to do 10 minutes 4 times a week. Do you know how freeing it is to be able to walk away at 10 minutes knowing that you have accomplished your goal? I’m still exercising 4 times a week but now that is 25-45 minutes at a time, And I’ve discovered I enjoy working out with weights. In the 6 weeks that I’ve been counting macros and increasing my exercise, I’ve lost 10.5 pounds and many inches. Carrie’s wisdom has helped me to work on becoming the confident woman I want to be on the inside as well as on the outside. I will be sending friends her way to listen to her kind, practical, and challenging coaching.

bethechangemdActionable and honest- just love itI absolutely love this podcast Carrie! As a physician and health coach myself- I recommend this podcast to all my clients. Carrie breaks it down and gives us the nuggets- here’s what to do, how to do it and helps us figure out our WHY along the way. Thanks for putting this and yourself out there!

DanaRDGCarrie helps me hurdle Habit RoadblockI have enjoyed each podcast’s enthusiasm, science based information and encouragement. I smile to myself as I hear Carrie describe one roadblock to developing new habits “The Overhaul Phenomenon.” So often I have wanted to change my devotions, my eating, my exercising, my sleeping, my paperwork procrastinating and my phone addiction alll at once. Beginning tomorrow …. it’s always a day away. Narrowing it down to her recommended three, well my four, specific very doable behaviors beginning today after day has been key for the week since the 14th. That reminds me it’s off to an early bedtime. :~) Sent from my iPhone

313573257932@),!?;:&"/It’s like chatting with a smart friend!I really enjoy listening to the podcast. Carrie breaks topics down into easy to listen to segments with a lot of information— delivered in a very easy to understand way. I also like how she addresses our behaviors and their links to our overall outcomes. Many paths to take to obtain a desired outcome!
-
YupKnopeThis is great! This speaks to me so clearly! I’ve read most of the books you reference but you take all that, break it down into the most simple terms, and actually explain the real-world application of these concepts as a mom and high-achieving, busy woman! And thank you for repeating key points several times in a row and throughout the episode. It finally gets through my busy mind when you repeat it like that! Love the show!!
-
jihan90Awesome showI am still behind on episodes because I listen to the episode multiple times, the episodes are very rich and I have implemented many changes to my life and mindset since I started listening to your episode but I know there is a lot of work still waiting for me. ashley.cornell123Highly recommendThis podcast checks all the boxes for me-nutrition, fitness, family, and career. But what makes it better than other podcasts in this space is how the science/research is presented. Rather than saying “this is the only way it works” it really is “this works for some but not all.” It is informative, enjoyable, and allows people to pick strategies and approaches that work for them without the guilt of not doing everything. Love it!
-
moo2ootAwesome podcast!Love the content, the breakdown of the over complicated, how relatable this all is and how ENCOURAGING you are to everyone who listens. No matter where anyone is at in this journey, you have something that everyone can start with. Small victories make a big impact on creating healthy, sustainable habits. Thank you for putting this out there!

Sheila SnowValuableI was referred to Carrie by my longtime best friend. I am not a "podcast" type of girl but I committed to listening to just one episode, that quickly turned into me "impatiently" waiting for the new ones to add! The way that Carrie lays everything out in simple terms, breaks it down and uses her medical background to back it all up is so refreshing. Soceity is bombarding women on the daily with false marketing, quick fixes and unattainable easy fixes, but Carrie's down to earth approach is going to empower all who take the time to put it into effect in their lives. While I have been working towards my goals with a lot of what Carrie speaks about I have still listened and had my "AH-HA" moments and made several changes over the last couple weeks and feel GREAT! Sometimes you just need to hear it from someone else!!! I am so happy to have had this series recommended to me and I recommend it to anyone who will listen!!!!
-

Countess SuperflyBrilliantCarrie’s super power is demystifying not only HOW to be mentally, physically and emotionally healthy, but WHY it’s critical (especially for us working moms). Better yet, she’s one of us - she’s doing the work alongside us.
-
MMT585Positive approach to wellnessI have been enjoying this podcast ever since discovering it via a Facebook group. It’s a weekly don’t-miss for me! I enjoy Carrie’s format, content, and attitude. Great topics for each episode. Even though I don’t always agree 100% with Carrie, I always learn something from considering her perspective and experience!

Dr Lauren OshmanThis is a must-listen podcast! If you are looking for the distilled science and practical tips that you can put into action today to improve your health, then this podcast is for you! Quick shoppingA must listen for everyone…Awesome Carrie! This is a must listen for everyone. Love the way Carrie brings her life coaching into wellness by starting with thoughts first! Rather than focusing on fad diets or fitness. We all have 20mins to dedicate to our wellness. Listen and enjoy! Brilliant Carrie. I can’t decide which is my fav! I leave something new with each one. Would love to hear in a future podcast the effect of cortisol and insulin on weight. Kept it going!!!
-
JcrandelGood ideas for all womenI have listened to the first three episodes so far and I will definitely continue! As a stay at home mom I find this information to be just as helpful as when I was a working mom. The three things that have been going through my mind after listening is eat food, mostly plants, be consistent but not punish myself when I make an unhealthy food choice and that what works for others will not necessarily work for me I need to listen to my body. I am hoping Dr. Carrie will give us some healthy food ideas- how to food prep/store veggies most effectively and meal ideas.
-

CazsaviozExactly what I need and moreAs a physician, I feel like I should already know how to be super fit and have it all figured out but I don’t. Thank you for providing such a well thought out, comprehensive, insightful and helpful way of guiding us to wellness. Yes, I want to be toned and not be skinny fat anymore, but I’m realizing how much my mind needs strengthening too. Profound to know ho much my mind is responsible for so much of this. I literally listened to all 6 in one day, and I’m eager to hear more. Thank you for doing this. I wish I had this when I was younger and struggled so much but so grateful to learn now.
-
AniGangoHighlight of my drive!Got excited when I saw that I had a new episode of Carrie’s podcast to listen to on my way home from work. Her stories about the family are so relatable (‘What’s poppin?’ Made me laugh!!), and importantly I enjoy listening to her drop knowledge in a a high yield and practical way. I have the privilege of knowing Carrie from back in the day and know that she is dedicated, fun, and vested in helping us all learn. Thanks for sharing these nuggets of gold with us!!

TinaldrnLoved Episode 5!!!I really enjoyed listening to this episode, I think the information was so important and true ! Dealing with and acknowledging feelings impacts our every day lives , often times I struggle with what the emotion /feeling actually is … Perhaps really taking a look & trying to describe it will be helpful. Also , the feeling does not determine who I am …. Thanks for that !!
-
