Bring back the original Nighty Night stories please!!
I was sooo excited when I heard that Rabia was coming back with a new season of Nighty Night until it was revealed that she would just be reading old stories written by other writers and not her own like before. I was very disappointed and haven’t tuned back in, but I’m not giving up and am still holding out hope for some original stories to make a return sometime soon!

    Not bad
It’s pretty good the only bad thing I have to say is that it does not have enough details in my opinion beyond that it’s pretty good

    Tried to love it
I’ve really tried to love this podcast but I’m afraid it’s just not for me. I did love Rabia’s Nighty Night podcast because the stories were original and I loved how she told them. These stories just aren’t the same. Plus, as others have mentioned, the ad placement is horrible. They come in mid-word! I’ll stay subscribed for now but please fix the ad placement at the very least.

    Love the stories, but…
I absolutely love the stories and how Rabia tells them, but the abrupt (and often middle of a word) ad placement is very distracting (or the sudden realization that Rabia is reading an ad sounding like it’s part of the story). I get needing sponsorship, but maybe aim for better placement using markers / include an audio cue that an ad is coming.

    Good, but
Rabia has a great voice, but she needs to slow down. Also, the repetitive music is distracting and unnecessary.
  • The Shadow Nose
    Good stories, well told.
Rabia’s reading seems so natural, like a story telling rather than reading. Selected stories are mostly interesting. Perhaps we listeners are equivalent to the Strand readers following Sherlock Holmes escapades 100 years ago. But be quick with the FF button as nasty commercials pop up suddenly

    Great except for ad placement
Would give it a higher rating if the ads weren’t inserted literally in the middle of words. For example, “ He tr- HERE’S WHAT I LOVE ABOUT BABBLE….-ied to relax”
  • How could you!
    Great stories
    Great narrations!!

    Rabias back!
Love this podcast and following Rabia! Hearing spooky stories in her voice is the best!

    Big Rabia Fan
Love Rabia and everything she’s narrated, worked on, contributed to, etc. and her voice is lovely! Mystery Hour is no exception. The stories on her latest endeavor are always fresh, interesting and sometimes quite creepy. The ‘fact is stranger than fiction’ segment at the end is a perfect way to tie off each episode. However, while I don’t necessarily mind the ads I am a bit disappointed in their placement amid the episode. Rabia is often mid-sentence when an ad break disrupts at the most random times. This does not bother me enough to give less than 5 stars, but would love if the editors could find a more sensible part of the story.

    Enjoyable
I really like this show. The stories are great on their own but the narrator’s rich, intelligent voice enhances the experience.

    Enough is enough
I stuck it out for a long time because the stories were interesting at first, but now it’s just another podcast heavy on agenda and light on quality. Unsubscribed.

    Leave politics out
You may think your “subtle” rhetoric is promoting peace and justice, but it is actually contributing to the division in this country. You actually tell really good scary stories until you start getting political. This is a perfect example of why this country is so divided.

    Love the show!
Love the show—5 stars! BUT, could you please fix one error? Poe’s middle name is AllAn not AllEn. Thanks!

    What a talent!
Love this podcast and Rabia‘s amazing reading voice and no pretense presentation. Started listening with her other fantastic podcast “The Hidden Djinn“ and she continues the tradition with fun, educational, imaginative and stories that have you hyperaware of every strange sound that happens your way. Super Enjoyable!

She’s not that good at this….
I enjoyed Rabia's previous podcast The Hidden Djinn. She did a really nice job there, i tuned in faithfully. But it was a different kind of podcast. As a lover of scary stories, creepy pastas and all the podcasts that showcase this, I was happy to see her venture into this area. Sadly, it’s much like a child being read a story from mom. It’s NOT bad. It’s just not really good either. Rabia reads the story, she adds inflection and sentiment, but she is not a voice actor or horror podcaster and these stories fall flat under her. Sorry to say she should leave this genre to the podcasters who are really good at it.

    Has Declined
Rabia’s stories were great but now it’s her reading other people’s stories which is for some reason not as interesting. Still love her though.

Trying too hard with big words.
I liked the first couple episodes but now I’m onto the third and fourth and I am somewhat even struggling to understand what she’s talking about because of all the big words. Everything she says is a word out of the dictionary that no one uses on a daily basis, which makes it very difficult to understand exactly what’s going on in the story

    Great stories, annoying ads
Stories are great, but the ads interrupt mid sentence which ruins the entire experience. If ads were only be at the beginning and end I would easily give 5 stars. After 2023, the stories drift away from original stories based off of true crime events, instead becoming just another audiobook podcast for old horror tales. I much preferred the original stories to ones that I’ve read and heard over and over again.

    Her voice
This is not the voice to “fall asleep to”. Ugh. The way her tongue sounds like it’s stuck to the front of her teeth. NO
  • Sadiern
    One of my favs
    Absolutely love this podcast!
  • Caloley
    Used to be good
Now it’s filled with ads and lack luster stories

    Good podcast
It’s a really good podcast, but I miss the old format. But stories are hard to write. At least she’s still continuing. Maybe in the future we get the good stuff back again.

    Rabia shines again!
I love everything about this podcast, especially the host! Rabia is the best.

    Is ok
Some of the stories feel unengaging. The guy who reads the credits at the end is unnecessarily overly creepy. I will keep listening and update.

    Love all the stories!
Absolutely LOVE Nighty Night and Rabia’s talent for story telling and narration! What a GEM!

    New Format Disapointing
I absolutely LOVED this podcast when I first found it, however this new season has been a bummer. Rabia has such a great voice and when she was reading the stories she had created, it was amazing to listen to. This new season, the same energy isn’t there. Each story feels very monotone and flat. I can’t get into any of the stories and it’s such a bummer.
  • Molaine
    Binge worthy
I can’t believe I just found out about this podcast!!!! Now I get to binge my new fav podcast!!!! Love y’all!!

    Disappointing Second Season
The first season was amazing! I was anxiously awaiting the second season to begin just to be disappointed with reruns and new story’s that are hard to follow and uninteresting. Sad that this season couldn’t match its first season.
  • Amy6374
    This season…
So far is a 180 from all last season.
  • amanda8898
    Listen not
Easy listening, love her voice! So soothing and keeps you interested. I listen to this every night when I lay down. Great stories and soothing voice.

    Decent til
The episode about an HOA. I don’t like HOA’s, however, to call them racist is insane. To call white people racist is wrong and I won’t be judged by a woman who believes white people are racist.

    Amazing Stories!
I’m so glad I discovered this podcast. Rabia is an amazing storyteller and the stories have all been so fun to listen to! They’re unique, spooky and very captivating. Please NEVER stop making episodes.

    Incredible!!
A recent convert to this podcast! Narration is spot on, I’m loving the renderings of some classics, and the ambient music is stunning.

    Great podcast
Really enjoy the stories and Rabia telling them is even better! Looking forward to more stories to come.

Puts me to sleep then wakes me right back up 🥴😳
I started listening because Rabia could read me the phone book and lull me into a peaceful sleep with her gorgeous voice. I was sorely mistaken and found out that these stories would then force me to pause and listen in the daylight as a 32 year old adult 😅. Highly recommend, you will be relaxed and then sufficiently creeped out. Can’t wait to catch up and then impatiently wait on a weekly basis!

Bring back the old Stories and format
I absolutely love Rabia and everything she does, I looooved nighty night but the new Format is not hitting it. Please bring back the Orginal True Stories with a twist
  • GoodDeal72
What a way to fall asleep!
I love the stories told her, and I especially love hearing at the end where they originated from. Rabia has the best voice!

    Bring back the original stories!
I really dislike where the podcast is headed, I absolutely loved the original stories told by Rabia but have stopped listening midway through each episode this season. Please bring back the original stories, they were brilliant!
  • ceñowayout
    Why the old stories?
This used to be one of my favorite podcasts and I waited patiently for their return, but they come back with tired Poe stories and Monkeys Paw? I’m not getting the shift in format. Please go back to original tales based on true stories, I miss it so much
  • AJS041383
    Miss the original stories
Not a fan of how this has all went from something original into a true crime podcast now to retelling other authors works. Please go back to the original format!
  • CGPrn01
    Love Rabia’s Voice!
I should give this a 1, since I can’t make it all the way through a full episode. Rabia's butter smooth voice puts me right to sleep lol - but in all seriousness, I loved this pod when it first came out and I love it now as well! I’ve always enjoyed spooky stories, and coupled with Rabia’s voice *chefs kiss*
