BookClubšLaLa in LaLa LandMy name is LaLa and I live in LaLa Land spewing nonsense into a microphone (and on paper & the net) begging for money while sitting in my seaside home claiming to have done this for my listeners AKA followers. While some of the content is solid information its ALL recycled except for the pathetic selfish solo episodes. Why didnāt LaLa Tell the Truth about the horrifying Drunk Driving Statistics and the lives Drunk Driving destroys? Then donate to money to MADD. 𤨠Oh right, that wouldnāt portray LaLa in the best light⦠talking about her inexcusable crimes.

ErinA8612Wonderful!Laura covers tough topics with guests, many in a way I havenāt considered before. It is always enlightening and brings a new understanding/perspective on something within myself or a way of relating to others. Thank you Laura!

wylderness76Wonāt Miss an EpisodeLaura is able to get to the heart of a matter and tell a story so fluidly and beautifully. Personal and universally relatable, vulnerable and insightful, every episode gives me a beautiful moment of āaha-YES!ā This is how we grow as people.
-
JoeMac7345Provides connectionThese conversations are illuminating and thought-provoking, and they restore my faith in people and make me feel less alone in the world.
-
NinjacheetsPlease Let Guests SpeakI would like to hear more of the guest and less of Laura.
-
KSofMDMy Favorite PodcastI learn so much in every episode. Iāve listened to several more than once and learned about amazing work of so many people. Always a conversation of substance!
-
Stef EReal, funny & heart warmingI love the real honest and vulnerable conversations Laura hosts each week. Her guests have a lot to share and I learn a lot I can reflect on in my own life. Keep up the great work. Thank you
-
Jazz&Blues1017Awkward EndingReally like the podcast overall but the Johann Hari interview had a really abrupt and awkward ending. I would have liked to have heard the rest of his story and voice on how to re-focus attention in a world of overstimulation.

Amy IllustratorRelaxed, real convosLauraās way with words is soothing. She interviews folks from a place of authentic curiosity and is a good listener. She has a good variety of guests and stand alone episodes.
-
Tigereye13Fantastic podcastHave just started listening to the TMST podcast and have been really enjoying it. They are very satisfying. Laura has such great interview questions with the people she has on, it feels like you are sitting around a dining table and just having a great conversation around coffee. I also really like the episodes where she answers questions, AMA they are called. Overall, highly recommend!
-
3julezzFantastic, as expected!Authentic, comfortable and real conversation! Thank you, Laura, for bringing your curiosity to the podcast world today!

MaggersNMTell Me Something True and Living a Full LifeTMS is a must listen podcast for finding the joy in living a full life. Laura and her guests discuss practical ways to care for yourself, deal with lifeās challenges, authentically, with joy, and in recovery from addiction.
-
HomeKPThoughtful, Introspective, RealJust as her book, We Are the Luckiest and her course Sobriety in Full Color land for me, so does her podcast. Itās like sitting by a fire with hot tea and a warm blanket. Real conversations, vulnerability, and connection. This is life.
-
amybishop2021AmazingOne of my favorite podcasts. Love Lauraās book & this podcast is equally as great.

CheeseFries14What is going on here?Iāve enjoyed Lauraās previous podcasts but this one is not working for me. Lauraās massive strengths really shone in the previous ones - speaking with a lot of honesty, authenticity, self-awareness and vulnerability around getting sober. Now⦠it feels like sheās out of her wheelhouse. And it almost comes across like she has aphasia on this show. There is a lack of clarity in the speaking, and the stops and starts create this cadence that is like a Brillo pad scratching on my brain. What is going on here? Come on, Laura!

mk2020dc2000Love Laura but geez!!I came to read the reviews just to see if I was the only one who felt the way I do and many people mentioned my feelings exactly! I love Laura, Iāve listened to every single episode of Home and Spiritualish, Iāve even done some of her online courses and been an avid follower for years. I cannot for the life of me understand , with all of the experience, the money poured in, production assistants, etc. why on Earth canāt someone tell Laura to stop drinking water after every sentence l? Canāt someone edit out all of the swallowing noises?? The AMA episode from November 18th was particularly awful, I wanted to much to hear the content but couldnāt get through the constant pausing, gulping, swallowing sounds, itās was unbearable!! I hope that someone can address these issues so that we can get back to hearing the inspired wisdom that Laura is known and loved for!!!
-
Kate (this nickname is taken)Sorry, but not my favorite.I might have to stop listening to this. The way she is micāed makes me want to scream. I can hear the spit sloshing around in her mouth and *every*time* she swallows. This seems to be mostly when she is doing a monologue episode. On the content level, her most recent episode--where it sounded like she was saying that she outgrew speaking to ārecoveryā issues--had me wondering what her thesis statement is for this platform. Iām not sure I understand what she wants to be āsaying,ā but she certainly lost me in that awful interview about that Jungian garbage.
-
colewiscoReal and thought provokingLOVE this podcast. Itās my new favorite. I appreciate how raw and vulnerable Laura is. Listening to this podcast is like having a deep convo with a best friend.
-
farles01awfulI had difficulty getting through the Anna Lembke interview because it sounded like she was being interviewed by a middle school girl and not a grown adult. Laura fails to communicate like an adult woman and is just downright irritating. The the awkwardness of this women is just an all around NO.
-

MermaidJane13Amazing ShowLaura is such a natural podcaster and you can tell the guests feel at ease with her, which makes for some great interviews. I recommend this podcast constantly because there really is something for everyone. When I discuss the episodes with other poeple we always have different moments that struck us or stuck with us! Love this show.
-
iuliachinnersGreat show!!! Butā¦.The episode w guest whose doTera ābusinessā āreally took offā after she got sober. Completely predatory company w unethical practices. Sheās no āsuccessā and if she is, itās at the expense of others. DoTerra is a somewhat notorious company in the world of essential oils. They're an MLM (Multi Level Marketing) company who's come under heat with FDA for making false claims about their oils, and have left a lot of customers feeling untrustworthy of huge essential oil retailers.

Virgo0968Broken Open and GratefulI know very little of Laura McKowenās work. She somehow showed up a few years ago on my Instagram feed. From the few posts I read, I sensed her to be a sincere and kind soul with gifts for those who crossed her path. I came across this podcast and something inside of me said, āgo listen to the trailer.ā I did. Then something inside of me said ālisten to episode one.ā I did. Then something inside of me broke open while I listened. It felt like a million butterflies flying out of my heart. This one conversationā¦digging and excavating the soul of life. This one conversation throwing open the gates of merely living and inviting each of us to show up to this place and ourselves with curiosity and maybe some grit and truly live. Iām grateful to have found this podcast. You never know what might spark encouragement for you to live your life in a deeply meaningful way. For me, it was listening to one conversation. Tell Me Something True lives up to its promiseāIāve fallen in love with my messy thrilling life once again. I feel comforted in knowing that there is good company along this journey, and I canāt wait to know more.

CJ@thebeachThought provokingEvery episode has been thought provoking to the point Iāve listened to them twice because thereās so much to absorb. The recent episode with Africa Brooke is excellent. Look forward to hearing more and happy to support such excellent work and ad free to boot.

Brittany JoyBTMST is a podcast gemEven if youāve never heard of Laura McKowen, you will enjoy this podcast. It is high quality audio (+ no ads!) that skips over awkward small talk. Laura asks meaningful questions that inspire authentic, relevant dialogue. AMRE910SO good!!I didnāt really expect much from this just because it was the first episode (sometimes it takes time to work out the kinks)ā¦I was soooo pleasantly surprised. Laura is an awesome interviewer, her conversation with Cheryl was so honest & interesting, & I legit felt better after listening than I did before. I canāt wait to hear more. What a great way to spend an hour!
-
sck73Laura is a gemI never miss a chance to hear Laura speak, write, laugh, or just exude her grounded steadiness, and compassionate warmth. Never missed an episode of HOME or spiritualish and expect tmst to be even more inspiring and affirming, if thatās possible. So excited to hear intervieweeās wisdom and insight but mostly just to hear Laura think out loud again. She is ineffably intelligent, funny, wise, and someone you want on your side. Listening to a Laura McKowen podcast is like a giant exhale and a hug from the inside at the same time š

POin303Talking about the hard stuff.Tell Me Something True is the podcast weāve all needed, and itās finally here! I fell in love with Lauraās storytelling a handful of years ago when a friend recommended her first podcast to me, and Iāve been hooked since! Laura has a knack for getting to the heart of the issue thru her curious questions and open mind. She seems like the girl next door, the trusted friend youād want to have coffee with. I loved the first episode of TMST with Cheryl Strayed, and I canāt wait for more!
