Guides and Anglers Making a Difference
Of all the NGOs doing fish conservation work, ASGA is second to none. The Guide Post provides me with to date analysis and calls to action on the issues facing the marine fisheries I care about.

If you love fishing, you’ll love this podcast!
The Guide Post podcast is such a valuable resource for recreational fishermen, guides and anyone wanting to learn more about fisheries & how they are managed. Their no nonsense, science backed fishery mgmt approach is refreshing and what our fisheries need to be robust and abundant. Listen, learn and find a way to make your local fisheries better for the next generation.

Very Interesting! Give this podcast a chance!
Being a very active and passionate fisherman and outdoorsman I began listening to this podcast, recommended by a friend. I have deeply enjoyed discussion the topics and featured guests from what I have listened to so far! It is easy to sit back and assume that our fisheries are being taken care of and properly managed by lawmakers. This podcast gives listeners not only the access to hear what is going on with species management but the unique ability to hear the people and the processes behind it. This podcast allows us digest ALL of the information and make FULLY informed opinions of our own so we can show support if needed! Loving this!

    Must-listen pod for all anglers
This is on my regular rotation of podcasts. The definitive source for important updates, news, and information about our fisheries, marine research, and fisheries policy.

    The best
This is one of my favorite podcasts. They always have good, relevant topics that appeal to anglers just getting into the sport as well veteran fisherman who have been doing it for a lifetime. Good information that sparks good conversation outside of the podcast is a gold standard. They also highlight the most authentic voices in the industry. Hard to beat.

    Relevant and accurate info
The guidepost is my one stop for staying up to date on what is happening in the fishing industry and more importantly within the marine biology space and how those two interact with public policy.

This is my go-to podcast to stay up to date and learn more about fisheries as I continue to dive into everything fishing!

This is THE fisheries policy organization
Big fan of everything ASGA is doing and can already tell they’re going to make some big time impacts in fisheries management. Appreciate how easy to understand they’re making very detailed topics. Our fisheries have not been managed for the people, and it’s because it’s always been “above the heads” of most stakeholders. ASGA is flipping the script. Our voices need to be heard!

    Needs better audio volume
Great podcast and content! My only suggestion is audio needs to be dialed up a bit especially during guest interviews on some of the episodes. Lot of us listening are doing so in cars, boats etc. and with volume dialed all way up some of it’s a bit low.

    Audio improvement needed
Great subject mater; but Tony’s audio needs improvement. Hard to understand

    Telling it like it is
Great commentary and translation of public policy in the fisheries. The best source of information for all kinds of anglers, professional guides to the brand new. -that negative review left by an obvious commercial guy claiming a “rush Limbaugh” is hysterical, way to represent the 1%

    Feels like political talk radio
While I agree with with them content and substance of the show it’s hard to listen to. It feels like just a political monologue. There is a lack of discussion just someone talking at me. It feels like Rush Limbaugh is yelling at me most of the show. When other presenters talk it get interesting and much more enjoyable. I will keep listening but it would be nice if it was more discussion oriented. If it feel like a lecture where people try to manufacture anger then I will have to stop listening.

Easy Way to Get Pro Insights on Fisheries Regulations!
I just listened to Episode 3 which was a great resource as I was unable to attend the MA public hearing on Striped Bass about which I do care a lot. The options out for comment I have read and re-read and it is fantastic to get Willy and Tony’s insight as the impact of some of these items is not entirely clear. Their translation and explanation are very useful. Although beyond that - the realistic demeanor of what is going on is refreshing on a topic that can get heated and a bit off topic pretty quickly. Kudos Willy and Tony 👏 look forward to the next episode and thank you for providing this service to the community!

    Approachable conservation discussions
Conservation discussed in a manner that is both approachable and understandable. Would recomendable to anyone who has fished off the Atlantic coast of the US.

    Much needed
Amazing work, gentlemen. This type of conversation and organic form of education is desperately needed in every community. There are so many striking similarities in our fisheries and many of the same hurdles plague both. Every outdoorsman should make a point of listening and engaging. The future of the places and sports we hold dear to our lives, are at stake.

    Save the Striped Bass!
I just listened to this podcast- phenomenal! The explanations were concise, easy to follow and thorough. I will admit, after sitting through the most recent public meeting online and reading up on the PID, I didn’t have a good grasp on the vocabulary, didn’t understand the players, biomass studies, conservation equivalence etc... But, this podcast helped bring it all together in a very short 45 mins. As a newcomer to stripers on the fly, I feel like I can be an accurate barometer for content and this pod cast was excellent. It should be a mandatory assignment for every striped bass fisherman who wishes to preserve this vital resource! Let’s make our voices heard!
  • Quiet Q
    Great information
Every east coast striped bass angler should listen to this. Thank you for clearing up the PID

    Important podcast for saltwater anglers
