In general I mostly love this pod cast. It has terrific content on a wide variety of horse related topics, and interviews with some really amazing folks. That said there are a couple of things that are frustrating for this listener. Some forgivable, due to logistics such as the sound quality. This duo seem to be recording directly from a Zoom or Skype conversation as there is jumping, skipping, fast forwarding and sometimes we are told that the other person is frozen... but... in every episode, really?? Yup it's annoying but forgivable. What is not forgivable is interrupting persons being interviewed smack in the middle of a sentence or thought. And constant "yeah, ok" "right" "uh huh" while they are speaking is incredibly annoying and comes off as rude and rushing the speaker. I was super excited about the interview with Luke Thomas so skipped ahead to listen to it. OMG it was so frustrating!!! He could barely finish a thought without being interrupted or a little "uh-huh yeah" from the host every 5-6 words out of this poor guy's mouth. I desperately wished her to just sit quiet and let the man talk. But I absolutely wanted to throttle her when she did it through his discussion of the monocular and binocular vision as it pertains to learning; causing the information he was trying to share to be disjointed and difficult to absorb. ARGH 😖 I am going to listen to the Kerry Thomas interviews and I've got my fingers crossed it's not more of the same. Please 🙏🏼 just sit quietly and allow the interviewee the full spotlight. Because it is an interview, not a conversation, there is no need to assure the speaker that you are listening with little affirmations every few minutes On a whole this is a great podcast with interviewing skills needing improvement.
