    It's a NOPE from me.
Pseudoscience similar to The Secret and other such nonsense. Newest episode is capitalist drivel. Did you know that the increasing wealth gap and disparities around the world are because of individuals' personal unresolved trauma? Get real.

    Water memory??
The episode titled “Somatic Memory” discusses “water memory”, which appears to be pseudoscience.

Jennifer is irritating to listen to
This podcast is an excellent source of information regarding trauma, especially complex trauma. Elisabeth especially is extremely insightful. Jennifer, however, manages to turn every single topic and make it about herself. While Elisabeth does this occasionally as well, it’s always related back to the topic in a helpful, instructional way. Jennifer seems to use the podcast simply as a way to talk about herself.

    My new fave!
Listening to Season 4 Episode and 8 and I’m gratefully stunned. I needed to hear this episode today and somehow it found me. Thank you Jennifer and Elisabeth for sharing your authentic selves. I’m sharing this episode with everyone I know.

    EDU
After listening to a few episodes I wanted to know a bit of the educational background of the hosts. After about .5 hr of digging, there don't seem to be any credential's on the hosts. The last episode about healing vision after reducing cortisol in the body made me super suspicious. It seemed irresponsible to imply that healing could potentially take place. Maybe I misunderstood, but i wanted to leave a review because I feel that this misinformation is reaching a vulnerable population. Please fact check the information you read!! Living a healthy lifestyle is always best practice. 👍🏼

Stop what you’re doing and listen
I just want to thank Elisabeth and Jennifer for putting all of this information out there. I totally relate to everything you talk about and love learning the science of it all. As a former practicing engineer I enjoy digging into the neuroscience of our brain and what I realize are outputs of my nervous system. I’ve always been highly sensitive and used to have panic attacks as a child. Over the past year or so I have gone through a full awakening. I realized I have AdHD (after having a son and daughter diagnosed) and that I’m probably on the autism spectrum. I also discovered it’s most likely linked to CPTSD. Your podcast (this season especially) has tied it all together so perfectly. I have been a member of Brain Based Wellness (on demand) for a while and once I started using neuro-tools to regulate my nervous system I realized that my outputs have changed. I do not react the way I used to and am able to show up in relationships so differently. You are both so brave and vulnerable and I know others are discovering themselves too. Thank you, thank you for sharing all of this with the world!

    Exhausted by diagnosis
I heard about this podcast on the other podcast similar to this, which is back from the borderline, but I like that one much more . I am interested in some of these episodes but to be quite honest I am so existentially exhausted by the reliance of diagnosis in navigating anything mental health. A diagnosis of which I have many has never once helped me and this constant blabbering about them and adding this one and considering that one is just insanity to me. In my opinion, the reason that ADHD doesn’t fully capture all of these different facets that are human personality is that there is no singular diagnosis. There is no combination of diagnosis that can accurately depict the infinite facets of a humans personality. And if you’re also tired of this, I recommend you quit listening to podcasts and get out into your community because all that this does is make me want to connect with people who aren’t sitting at a book and making all of their emotions academic. And honestly, anyone who is a doctor or who has professional medical training is not the person I want to be listening to, to learn about my mental health. In fact that’s the last person I want to be listening to at this point my life with the current world going on.

    Absolutely essential information
This podcast has been instrumental in my healing and I thank them from the bottom of my heart from helping me to understand myself. The information is presented in a way that makes the science easier to understand and each episode is hugely helpful and validating.

    Trauma rewired
This podcast was referred to me by a colleague. What an informative and powerful podcast! They offer evidenced based studies along with resources. Now more than ever, we need to learn how to rewire and heal our nervous system. I recommend this podcast to anyone in the mental health field or that wants to learn about mental health.

    C-PTSD and Me
I stumbled upon this podcast and so glad I did! Something happened to me after having Covid for a second time in 2022, it’s like flood gates opened up. I have lived with panic disorder with agoraphobia since I was 18, but I understood that and the symptoms that would come with it. But now at 43 I am realizing that the PTSD from my past and the trauma of going through Covid did something inside me. All of these memories come up randomly and I cry and cry. Lots of random crying these days. I finally was diagnosed after advocating for months to my therapist and doctor. But the shame episode really resonated with me. Since I was a kid I always felt like I was wrong, bad or not a good kid, also always nervous. My mom never expressed emotions and never talked about how she was. The only emotion I really saw from her was anger. Thanks for this podcast and for all the knowledge you are sharing with people like myself. I just want to heal. -Brianna

    Thank you
Thank you for this podcast you are helping me so much. For years I’ve suffered and blamed myself and added to my shame. But with this teaching I am understanding myself in a new way. Leading to some compassion in baby step form. Hopefully leading to healthy change.

    Yes!
I’m so proud of you. Just heard your story on ‘what was that like’. You are an inspiration. Men are so much stronger. I love the credit you gave to divine intervention. You rock!

    Life changing podcast💜
These women are truly inspiring and informative, especially when it comes to learning about trauma and how it affects the nervous system. Even if I wasn't doing any of the work, just listening to this podcast has been life changing! The awareness they help bring is a gift, and I use it almost daily. Because of this podcast, I believe that healing my nervous system is possible, and that's something I couldn't say before.💔 My hope, (and new belief), is that I will someway be able to teach others how to help heal themselves. I truly believe THIS is what can change the world, one nervous system at a time..😌 Thank you for all that you do ~ and please keep it up! 💖💖💖

Would love more “how to help yourself…”
Appreciate the info, and I notice I get more depressed listening about ACEs, how f-ed up your health gets, doom of trauma, etc., versus “here’s what you can do to help yourself.” Many of us are in often in our parasympathetic nervous system as it is, so focusing on agency and what we can do “rewire” per the podcast title would be much more helpful. The episodes seem to be 95% all the bad things and maybe 5% of tips. I guess they want you to buy their products, which I understand.

    Informative podcast
I've been listening to this podcast for several months. I can relate to a lot of what they discuss on the podcast. It's also educational if you're wanting to learn how trauma and the nervous system go hand-in-hand. I feel like my nerves are "fried" from my past trauma. I will continue to listen and learn. Intellgent ladies who know their stuff!

Deserves six stars, but 5 will have to do
This podcast has become indispensable in my arsenal of recovery content. The two hosts are the perfect mixture of refreshingly authentic + HIGHLY informed in their respective fields. What the world needs now is conscious embodiment and inner work, and that’s the focus of this pod. I look forward to each new episode and am making my way through the back catalogue. Incredible guests, episodes filled with heart and love. What more could you ask for? Thank you both for all you do. Never stop. ❤️

    Reading off a teleprompter
I love this podcast so much and what they share is very useful and healing information. But when jennifer starts reading off information about whatever theory, you can tell she is just reading off notes and it sounds like she’s reading off a teleprompter. It’s not genuine or personal it sounds very robotic and not engaging at all. I could barely get through the episode about CPTSD as an attachment wound. It’s very challenging to listen to robotic voices.

The absolute love this podcast. I stumbled upon it one day, and I’m so thankful I did. It’s a game changer. I look forward to it each week.

Takes It to the Next Level
Trauma Rewired is by far one of my favorite podcasts. Jennifer and Elisabeth are truly experts in their field and are wonderful educators. Their knowledge of trauma and how to regulate one’s nervous system is leading edge. They are incredibly relatable as they share their stories of vulnerability, trauma and healing via neurosomatic intelligence. They are providing a wonderful service to the world!
  • Warchild09
Love the podcast but not the host’s voice
Jennifer’s voice is too shrill and her cadence is fast and breathless. It sounds stressed. It’s not appropriate for a podcast about trauma and somatic healing. I wish Elisabeth Kristoff had a podcast by herself

    Really good
Love this podcast so much - so educational but not a boring listen. These topics can be pretty heavy but they make it easy to understand and digest. Thankyou!

I have never left a comment on a podcast, yet I must with this one. I’ve listened for the past few months and I can say without a doubt (having listened to hundreds of podcasts and styles) this is one of the few podcasts that can simultaneous go deep into the lived experience of trauma and where I can have my trauma witnessed and explored without feeling victimized. Thank you!

EVERYONE needs to learn this information!
This information should be learned from birth! My goodness, it's so valuable I can't even believe I went 37 years without it. It's the missing piece to my healing. 🥺 This should be learned to prevent trauma but absolutely essential for healing past trauma. Thank you both for this valuable information! 🤍🤍🤍

The best trauma-intelligence podcast I’ve heard
It’s the practicality for me. I appreciate the stories of trauma recovery but what really makes this one a must-listen for me is the evidence-based, actionable information to go along with the stories.

    Informative and Accessible
Jennifer’s honesty, authenticity and experiences have been and continue to be an incredible find and addition to my own healing journey. I find her honest and down-to-earth delivery refreshing. There’s no curtain separating her from her listeners as she lets you in on her experiences if she thinks it will help, or “master” attitude in regards to sharing her vast knowledge that can feel so off-putting when it is a professional who has chosen to separate themselves from the work. The conversations she has with her guests are real, informative and easy to listen to. I always come away with more than I hope for.

Jennifer is raw, real, and just a true gem of a human. To have this much helpful information in one location is such a lovely treat! I love to listen as I work around the house or take a walk. That way, I get to learn so much throughout the day even if I can’t sit down to read or watch something. Her guests know their stuff and I’m THRILLED I’m a part of this gorgeous platform. Cheers to health! Xo-Lizzie Brooks

    The Future is Illuminated!
Illuminated host Jennifer Wallace guides the conversation about more mindful living with grace and open-hearted curiosity. She pulls bravely from her own experiences and explores those of her guests to reveal important lessons around topics that shape who we all are. What stands out the most is Wallace’s honest approach to complex topics. Unlike the know-it-all “life gurus” out there, she’s on this journey WITH you. Illuminated, in just four episodes, has established itself as a judgment-free zone where all women, and everyone, are invited to seek out brighter futures together. And it sounds like she’s having fun along the way. I’m excited to hear how this podcast grows, and I don’t doubt that I will on the journey. Give it a listen!

    We Hear You
To hear other strong, vibrant, healthy, positive women discussing what so many of us go through quietly made me feel connected and not alone. Knowing there's a name for and a reason for which we sometimes find ourselves in cycles is helpful beyond words. If I can name it. I can see it. If I can see it. I can overcome it. Thank you ❤️

    WOW, soulfully amazing
Jennifer truly has a gift for connecting with others! I love the way she holds these conversations and the light she shines onto topics a lot of other people aren't talking about - to think we're just on episode one, I feel so seen! Literally on the edge of my seat waiting for more! :) :)

Wow - was this about me?
Jennifer and Elisabeth touched on negative behaviors that I myself have fallen victim to and that I know are not healthy. Something about discovering those behaviors are a result of physiological/neurological responses to my traumas or stressors felt absolving and took some “weight off” my self-deprecating mindset. It made me feel less guilt about some of my bad habits, knowing I have not gone in to them consciously or intentionally. Instead I began to feel hopeful for positive change and the courage that I could make it happen. About one third of the way through the episode, I felt inspired to get OFF the couch and take an introspective evening walk, listening to the podcast and learning for a better self. I’ll definitely be tuning in again! Thank you ladies!

    Rising Star
As a close friend of Jennifer, I fully and freely admit to being somewhat biased. That said, this is a solid first episode in her budding career as a holistic coach for women from all walks of life. While the episode specifically addresses eating disorders and women's relationships with food, it can truly apply to any kind of addiction or unhealthy attachment. Elisabeth explores in depth the cycles of eating disorders, whether as a result of trauma or poor habits developed during childhood, and perpetuated by the continued marketing of addictive and highly-processed foods. This is a powerful episode that I believe will resonate with countless listeners. In 50 minutes, I was able to identify sources of inadequacy that affect my outlook on life. If this is the beginning, then I think we're looking at a phenomenal future for this podcast. Jennifer and Elisabeth are doing miraculous work that will revolutionize the way women--and the world-- see themselves. They will be empowered and unashamed to be themselves exactly as they were meant to be. God bless you both.
