The Sugar Jar Podcast

211

As a teacher and writer of self-healing work, I’ve learned that hearing other people’s stories helps us release, heal, and grow. The Sugar Jar Podcast episodes will include conversations and stories from people all around the world sharing their healing journey. I’ll also have episodes where I share what I’m learning (or unlearning) around my self-healing journey.

Thank you for telling me what I need to hear with one of the most beautiful and eloquent voices. Cheyenne has a natural gift of speaking and explaining concepts so well and relatable. I have already shared this podcast with a few people. Each episode is like a mirror for me to really dig deep and allow shadow work and other self development goals.

The FOMO Episode is SOOO GOOD!
Wow. So many nuggets to take away. Changing your perspective from What am I missing out on to, what am I saying yes to! That is so powerful. FOMO is laced in scarcity… my goodness. I felt that so deeply. As if by saying yes to your priorities right now won’t pay off in abundance later. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, gifts and talents with the world. This was a timely listen.

    Grateful for this podcast
Hi Yasmine, I just wanted to say thank you for the latest episode about building community. I moved back to my home country last year, after being away for 16 years. I’m struggling to make new friends and connections, while people and extended families think that I must feel so nice to be “back”. It’s been hard. Thank you for summing up these feelings into words. I really feel validated and encouraged to keep trying. :)

    Podcast- Episode on Building Community
I love this podcast! The latest episode really hit home and provided me some helpful insights on how I view and accept connections and restore my faith in the journey of “finding my people” in different seasons and to match my different needs. Also, I love that this episode helped me to realize that I am not alone.

    It’s ok to choose yourself!
She speaks life into insecurities in such a gentle way so that its easy to stay curious enough to look at them and where they came from. To gain strength enough to know that vulnerability will be also empowering, especially to say that either good or bad outcomes can be laid out and It will still be ok. Setting up boundaries just means it’s ok to choose you. Rarely do I listen to a whole podcast all at once glued to my phone. So beautiful and exactly what I needed today, thank you!!

    Wait, y’all got a jar???
My sugar is all over the kitchen but it’s time to collect it and start smackin hands that don’t belong in the jar! 🙌🏻 Fantastic podcast! I found it from and episode of She Thrives and so glad I did.

    Being humble
I appreciate this episode so much because at the start of this episode I was doing a personal assessment on assignment and one of the questions were, Am I humble? After listening to this episode helped me better to answer that question and not in a way of dimming my light, my gifts, & my accomplishments. Thank you so much for pouring into me

    Nourishing!
I just listened to the conversation with Sophia Roe and man, was it nourishing! You both touched on such inclusive topics and the intersections food justice has. I really liked the point Sophia made on remembering “who you are & don’t allow others to claim your agency.” I think this point is huge when as marginalized people rise in their field. Love this podcast! Keep up the great work :)

The way I rocked my walk in the rain today!
I appreciate your humble no more at the right time and place! I am practicing this with you and hopefully many others! Let’s spend time celebrating and spending time in joy!

    Such a relatable podcast.
I enjoyed the most recent episode featuring Myleik. Listening to Myleik talk about how her children will be set as adults and how she will raise her children to be financially literate, inspires me to do the same. Its never too late to do the right thing even if you weren't raised with parents who knew what they were doing. Im so glad I subscribed after finding out about Yasmine Cheyenne, from being a supporter of Alex Elle.

    What you think you create
Wonderful guidance in this podcast, i especially enjoyed the discussion on wrestling with forgiveness, survivor’s guilt, and the quote love is not what we feel...love is what we do

    My daily bread
I’ve been finally getting on board with self-care, self-healing and self-reflection (better late than never) and the sugar jar podcast has been a life saver, guide and lunch break boost to get me through my days. I love her comforting voice and words and look forward to learning more from her and her community. I’m slowly piecing myself together and it all started here

The podcast I didn’t know I needed until I found it.
I’ve followed Yasmine for a little while on IG and have found her posts to be so helpful in my healing journey. Today I had some dedicated time alone in my car and instead of just listening to the radio, I decided I wanted to spend time listening to The Sugar Jar podcast. From the trailer through episode 5, I found myself reflecting deeply on my own experiences and what my life has been like until now. With Yasmine as a guide and her guests as fellow learners/teachers, I was able to find myself in each episode and have a deeper understanding of how grief, joy, and liberation play out in my life. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself and your own journey.

    Therapy through a Podcast
Listening to this podcast while I’m working or running errands. This podcast just gives you a healthy check in through interviews and experiences of others. This is such a beautiful way to remind BIPOC individuals that therapy is a tool to recognize and work through issues, but healing saves the soul 💕

    Yasmine is Awesome!
All of what Yasmine makes you think really hard about where your energy goes, who is going to and who your letting take advantage. It makes you reevaluate your life and see where you might have to but stronger boundaries in place. I also love the sugar jar as the visual for this. Can’t wait to hear more!!
