    Such sprit and depth
I have really come to appreciate Lee C. Camp’s conversation with fascinating (and often famous) people as he leads them to open up about the meaning of their life and work. So grateful for this podcast. Follow-up on 12/5/24 - I continued to be impressed and inspired by these conversations. Deeper, more thoughtful and filled with a joyful and inquisitive spirit.

    Excellent interview
I so appreciate the insights of David French and Russell Moore. They are not just talking politics. They demonstrate by example how to live as believers AND how to reveal the love of Christ while truly caring about our country, It is a confusing season, but i appreciate their wisdom. An excellent conversation.

Helping Me Orient Myself In The World
I’ve gone through some big life changes lately and it’s been very helpful to listen to this podcast and build a frame of reference for what I’m going through. I also greatly appreciate how the intention is to discover and explore what it means to live a good life as opposed to pushing one particular answer as the key. Great work by everybody involved!

    Just noise
Please stop adding a plinky music bed behind the dialog. What purpose does it serve other than being a distraction? It's not entertaining. It's not necessary. It's not even good music. Stop over producing. Have unfollowed show. Sorry.

    Always Intriguing
What I like about this program is every episode exposes to me to an idea or ideology or a person or a religious group that I've never heard before. I never come away without learning new things. It challenges my standard way of thinking. I love Lee's questions and his delightful laugh. I look forward to every episode.

    Deep tenors
Thank you for the space to sound the amazing tones of these voices of men that are redefining how America truly sees the truths of our horrific past. The depth of feeling and compassion and love of God, family and country - and the struggle to lift up all people’s is resonant in the tones of their voices and it’s a beautiful but haunting sound. It should be a siren song for our country moving forward.

    A Thoughtful and Inspiring Podcast
It’s been a long road that I’ve traveled in my pursuit of a good life and it’s not been a small endeavor. The podcast gives me hope about the traditions of my past and hope for those continuing to pursue this endeavor. It’s not a dogmatic or divisive podcast. The podcast challenges me with a variety of wittiness from many faith traditions. It’s a podcast that encourages spirituality. It’s a podcast that encourages me to be a better person. Thanks you to all those who help bring this to my podcast stream as I appreciate the challenge.

    Interesting people
I have loved the interesting people that you have interviewed this summer while on your sabbatical. These are people I may, or may not have ever heard of whose thoughts are not only interesting, but provocative.

    Thoughtful
Lee is a great interviewer. He’s always prepared and has really thoughtful questions. His guest list is wide and deep and he draws interesting answers from everyone he talks with. I really enjoy hearing the uncut version after the production, there are always some bits that get cut that I find valuable. The editor does a great job getting the show down to an hour but Lee is so good there is no way to get all the good stuff into that timeframe. Thanks for making me think in new ways

Tender hearted, thought provoking, and oh so gracious!
Lee, I so much appreciate your gracious heart! My favorite episodes are from your trip to California. The conversations with, especially the unabridged episodes, with Dr Lawson, Fr Dear, and Martin Sheen and their collective commitment to human flourishing are just so life giving! Thanks for all you do! Blessings and Peace Phil

    Outstanding Podcast
I’ve only come to No Small Endeavor recently, but the interviews are remarkable. Take time to listen to the unabridged interview with Martin Sheen and the dual exchange with Kristin DuMez and David French. You will be hooked.
  • joebo8
Be Wowed by Sheen’s powerful story of his faith
Nice interview with Martin Sheen about faith. I always found Sheen’s re-birth/conversion story inspiring and for the first time - I heard it - not in print but from the mouth of the man himself. Also have to agree with Mr.Sheen about “ego.” Give it and the podcast in general a listen if you have questions about faith. Powerful storytelling found here! Thanks Lee & Co. We need source materials like this to inspire and to interpret and process what we are bombarded by in order to best understand ourselves and each other. Thank you Lee! Tune in and listen effortlessly to these two thoughtful men. -Joe Bohannon

    Incredibly thought provoking & convicting
One of the most thought provoking and convicting conversations I’ve ever heard. I may have just been radicalized for non-violence. God, May I never be a bystander simply walking by the cross.

    “Enawed”
I love the variety of guests and Lee’s thoughtful, informed questions. It is in the listening that we hear more than the question prompts. I’m always moved to books and music that opens my view and understanding of the world. I’ll say I too that I am always encouraged, enlightened, and “enawed” by these stories and voices.

    Always interesting often entertaining
I like to listen to a wide range of podcasts and when I cycle through my lists to another Tokens podcast in my playlist I always look forward to a thoughtful interview or enjoyable music and quite often the podcast includes both. Keep up the good work, Lee!!

    Intellectual hospitality at its finest
The premise of Tokens is intriguing on its own: a collection of interviews with a diverse, intelligent roster of guests who all ultimately share their vision of what human flourishing looks like. What sets this podcast apart from other philosophical podcasts, though, is the hospitality of its host, Lee Camp. While no intellectual lightweight himself, Lee nevertheless creates a gracious space where his guests can shine. He gives them plenty of time to talk, only interposing to ask interesting questions or to guide them to another salient point of their argument. In doing so, he helps his guests be their most fascinating, compelling selves, while also allowing them to expound on topics more complex than most podcast formats could manage. Everyone wins in this arrangement, most notably the listener. I feel like I gain a few IQ points with every episode and leave with a deeper understanding of both human nature and “the good life.”
  • DDBAdams
    Delightful
I have been looking for a podcast just like this! Thank you Lee!
  • jamminjch
    Thank you!
I heard about Lee C Camp and his book Scandalous Witness through an interview that Lee did with Joshua Yoder on his podcast Unbinding the Bible. I was intrigued by the interview and compelled to find and binge every episode of the Tokens Podcast. Ever since, I look forward to a new episode each week (except when Lee takes a much deserved break around the holidays). Lee does an excellent job of giving voice to a wide array of fascinating human beings. This podcast has helped to open my eyes and my heart to humanity. Thank you Lee C Camp, please keep up the good work! Hope this 5 star review glows bright!

    Listen at Your Own Risk
Lee Camp was my professor. He demands much of his students just as he demands much of himself. This podcast will change your life, if you let it. Insightful. Challenging. Very good. The risk you take in listening is that you might love others much more than you thought possible. And love moves you to more than just tears or laughter, but to a life well lived in caring for others as you care for yourself.
  • mhstanfield
    It’s more than a show about ideas…
Tokens is more than a show about ideas. It’s also about the history of ideas, many of which we have unconsciously picked up and ran with in our lives. Lee and his guests intentionally present how these have affected us, and what a new way forward looks like to live a better life. You may disagree with some episodes and ideas, but you’ll have to do a lot of mental gymnastics to live life the same after hearing these informed and compelling stories.
  • NYC Downtown Girl
One of most thoughtful podcasts out there
Discovering “Tokens “ podcast through the Robbie Jones interview stimulated my listening to every podcast done so far. Lee Camp’s humility, curiosity and preparation sets him up to be one of the best interviewers I have heard. Ever. And he brings on guests who tackle tough and relevant issues.

    Important insights on every program
A friend recommended "Scandalous Witness" in the fall of 2020. It was a powerful read. Then he invited me to listen to Tokens Show with guest, A.J. Levine (who I have heard present in-person a couple times) in December 2020. After hearing there was a Tokens podcast I immediately subscribed and have now listened to every episode. Rarely do I listen to a show that I don't learn something really important to my way of being in the world. This is an important work of contemporary social, cultural and theological commentary.

An important podcast for Christain cultural engagement
This podcast is great! Lee Camp and his guests are helping lead the church in moving beyond partisan politics to engage in the world in the winsome ways of Jesus.

Listening to Tokens - whether on a walk, on the porch with coffee, or on a road trip - is always an elevating experience. Cultivating beauty, truth, and flourishing as a Jesus follower is a good thing! Highly recommend.

    Enjoying the show
Loving the pace, topics, and thoughtful production value. I put it in the same camp as the Language of God and The Trinity Forum conversations. Deeper, impactful and multi-voices perspectives. Thank you.
  • Durough
    Recommended for diverse perspectives
Lee has a beautiful thing going with Tokens, and this podcast is a great addition. A gracious and daring host, Lee doesn’t shy away from the perceived dangers of doing public theology. This podcast is best approached with an open mind with ears to hear different perspectives—much food for thought.
  • BradleyClark
    Episode 6
I highly recommend the interview with Professor Bill Cavanaugh! His approach what it means to be pro-life seems to be totally faithful to the witness of Jesus rather than a partisan agenda.
