I’m a big fan of the Phoenix Cast and if you are following me but not following it the you are doing it wrong. I love how John Schreiner, Kyle "KMo" Moschetto , and Rich Vaccariello take some really complex military themes and decompose them in a way that people can understand.

A perfect blend of intelligence, application, practicality, and humor.

Exactly like the title says. This is a must listen for any IT professionals in the USMC. The hosts are phenomenal and they do a great job making difficult concepts easier to understand, even for novices.

John and Kyle have really hit on something with this podcast. They bring timely and relevant conversations about all things cybersecurity and technology related that matter to communications professionals. They have had a run of really interesting guests. The one thing that I think makes this show exceedingly listenable is the hosts’ dedication to “acronym checks” and keeping the main thing the main thing during their conversations. It would be easy for a show like this to get lost in acronym soup and Marine Corps jargon that excludes all but a tiny subset of listeners. These hosts do a great job of conveying and simplifying what can be extremely complicated topics. Great job gents.

Wrapped up in the concerns of routine tasks and training/exercise planning and execution, I have little time to seek out information on all relevant force modernization efforts and updates. Phoenix Cast makes staying up to speed super easy, providing valuable insight from experienced and involved individuals. Keep up the great work gentlemen!

If you are a Marine, and are in the Communications, Cyberspace, or related fields of the tradecraft, this is a must listen. If the Commandant of the Marine Corps had a recommended podcast list, much like the Commandant’s reading list; this podcast would be on it and at the top. Kyle, John, and Rich are entertaining and provide the latest in the tech world as well as provide a excellent platform for relevant discussion in the Information Age. Fantastic job gentlemen. I’ve been listening to the Phoenix cast since it’s inception. John, on of the hosts, is my son. This podcast has been instrumental in introducing this submarine vet to the complex world that John is a part. The crew does a very good job of defining terms and somewhat demystifying the cyber world for me. Invited guests are a high point, especially the interview with the CG.
