Jennibomb1I really really enjoy Vikram and the guests he interviews!I LOVE this show, it’s kid friendly and very informative without being over the top academic. Vikram is such a great podcaster and I enjoy episodes where it’s just him speaking on a topic or ideas and I also really like when he does interviews. If you are curious at all about plants, ritual and seasons regarding plants, the connections between people and plants, agriculture, history of food there is at least one episode that will make you happy. You should keep this one in your rotation. There is so much interesting and rich information, I feel like Vikram is also a friend because his way of speaking is so personable and easy to listen to! His students are lucky to have someone like him teaching them about agriculture and people. :)

ThisIsBenSilverGentle and warm and funI absolutely love listening to any expert talk about their thing… but the Plant Professor is a step above that. He’s got a very gentle way of talking about things… even the things that make him and. And I’ve learned so any cool things. One day I’m going to keep a plant alive… and that will be 100% because of Vikram.

Potato Lady BexBlooming with GoodnessHistory, gardening, and science have a very important thing in common when it comes to me: I love them all, so long as someone else does the work. Fortunately, this podcast delivers on that front. Vikram has an easygoing and friendly personality that instantly relaxed me and pulled me in.

EcHammer01Relatable and knowledgeable!I started following the planthropology podcast after completing Vikram’s principals of horticulture class. I took the class thinking it would be an easy A to fit in with my tough schedule, but I wasn’t expecting his passion to to be nearly as contagious as I quickly discovered it was! He is a never ending source of plant enthusiasm and knowledge who is not only HILARIOUS but extremely relatable. The humor and transparency he shows when discussing everyday struggles and events (everything from falling behind in grading to mental health issues to being excited to share with others his own personal achievements) makes this show one of my favorites and the sole reason I now listen to podcasts!

bdjsjanzGreat for experts and novices alikeI’ve enjoyed listening to this during my commute so much! It’s casual, entertaining, and easy to follow, but I learn so much about from each episode. It’s also great to hear about everyone’s career path - as a biologist early in my career it is so helpful to hear about all the different avenues in this field! -Danielle

seriouslyallenFor more than plant peopleI was expecting a very nerdy over the top podcast, but the host Vikram is very personal with his guests. The show is presented like it’s just a couple of people having a chat over a cup of coffee. Can’t wait to see how this show develops. Side note: is I possible to get a sticker bundle? That includes “water is my jam” or “digging graves taught me about soil”.
