    Hooray!
So happy to hear Clemmie and this show!! Both beautiful!! I loved all the pieces you chose. I’d first heard Clemmie on Open Ears Project which I absolutely loved! Then it went away & I wondered why. Will Open Ears Project return? Yes please. I will continue to listen here as well. Another fabulous podcast. ☮️💜 Thank you!

    Diversity please
Love the show but classical isn’t just western is it? How about exploring the globe - Indian classical? Chinese? African?

Howdy! So I love the show, but would be most grateful if you guys would list in the show notes the details of the works being discussed, including who is the performing the work...Cheers!

    Do something?
First, I want to say that I thoroughly enjoy the podcast on most levels. The host has a wonderful manner, and her basic concept of the show is excellent. There are, however, two criticisms I would very seriously make. One: why is it so necessary to force the “question” of “doing something” when you are listening to music? Is listening...without ironing, without cooking, without doing something...not enough? Does the music itself need something else - another activity- to warrant justification? I find this “what do you do when you listen to music” theme quite annoying; and it does indeed sell short the value of the art itself. Quite frankly, this notion encourages listening to - or viewing in the case of visual art - the unfortunate proposition that the art itself cannot be thoroughly enjoyed unless some other activity “tags along.” I just listened to a Mahler symphony...it would have been simply impossible to really LISTEN and, for example, change the oil in my car. The host needs to far better understanding why there is a tv station called “arts and entertainment.” This “doing something” while supposedly listening sells so very short the very art the host appears to respect. This attitude also reduces serious music of any style to “wallpaper”...Sit, pay attention to the music, hear the nuances, etc., and please understand you can’t do this with cheap earbuds running through a train station. The second concern is I’ve never heard the host credit the particular artist(s) who made the Recordings she chooses. This is inexcusable.

    One of my favorites!
This is one of my favorite podcasts in my library! As a classical music educator, I love how Clemmy exposes classical music novices to a great variety within the repertoire. I love hearing other people’s perspectives as well as discovering new pieces!

    Fabulous
A wonderful platform upon which to showcase an astonishing variety of classical (concert?) composers. Clemency presents a tasteful, eclectic buffet of music in each episode that is both instructive and enjoyable. Her backstories on composers are an additional audiological sweetener. On the downside, commentaries by guests on the music add little other than narcissistic diversions into scoring political points or touting public persona. Regardless, it’s a great podcast and I recommend it unreservedly.
