Rhee Gold is passionate about dance education and the business of teaching dance. He is a pioneer in the field, launching the first business (and motivational) seminar for dance teachers in the mid-90s and is now the director of the DanceLife Teacher Conference and the DanceLife Retreat Center attracting hundreds of teachers and studio owners from around the world.Gold’s mission is to inspire dance people to appreciate the gift that dance offers all who experience it. Nice doses of inspiration!

Hi Rhee! I love listening to your podcasts in between dancelife conferences. I haven't been able to attend since 2017 since having a baby. I was wondering if I could request more subjects related to teaching (all genres) since I"m just a teacher and not an owner. Maybe ways to challenge even your best dancers, creative classroom lessons, improve/freestyle activities, teambuilding, etc...for those of us who only teach. Thanks!

Such validation!

Rhee is the ultimate inspiration! As a dance teacher who is a mom of 2 young boys, I sometimes need validation that what I am leaving them to do on nights and weekends is “worth it”. Rhee gets that and he always says the perfect thing to snap me back into the reason why I continue to follow this passion. Great listen by a great person!

Excellent!

I have been a studio owner for 28 years and my thoughts are always right in line with Rhee's. It is like Rhee is living in my head and expresses my thoughts so eloquently. It is always so great to feel like, "Yes, I HAVE been doing this right? I HAVE followed my heart and I HAVEN'T compromised and althought I may have lost a few customers along the way because I didn't compromise, I am better for it and I am attracting the people that are best for our studio". After being in business for so long, I do feel like I personally have a great deal of experience, but listening to the podcasts always teaches me something and inspires me, whether it is just to be at peace knowing I followed my heart and was on the right track, get a new idea (I am always a student at heart and can always learn a new way to do something) or if it is just a simple reminder (that is always needed) to enjoy the journey. Thank you so much for creating these inspirational podcasts. I have been reading Rhee's words for many, many years and now to hear his voice is another great additional element. It feels so personal and I can listen when I'm driving to the studio or just out for a walk. Excellent!!!

Rhee Gold is the voice in the back of my head every day, reminding me to be true to myself, be confident in my decisions and believe in myself and my studio. I have been watching Rhee since I was a little girl and he and his brother were tearing up the competition world with their talents! He has been such a huge success and has been amazing to watch how he progresses and the impact he has had on both students and teachers alike. I try to go at least one workshop at the Dance Life Retreat Center because I walk away feeling excited and validated! I am so happy about this podcast. I can just pop in my ear buds and go about my business while listening to the inspiration and advice that Rhee gives! 5 STAR FOR SURE! Rhee has lived the world of dance

No one has had the experience of Rhee( with the exception of Rennie) his vast knowledge extends far beyond the norm. Growing up in a studio environment, having show business parents and performing at an early age allows him to have a unique perspective. He started his own teaching at a young age, I think he was in high school. I find his information to be realistic and inspiring. Thanks for the much needed podcast!
