    The Real Deal
I have listened to my fair share of travel and adventure podcasts, but this show is something different. Matt engages with his guests in such a genuine manner and asks truly thoughtful questions to people that have done truly remarkable things. The show is extremely inspiring.

    Fantastic
Engaging host with consistently excellent guests. Love the blend of adventure, relationships with nature, exploration with big arm-chair philosophy questions about life, meaning, and purpose. Favorite podcast by far.

    Inspiring Storytelling
I’m a female listener in the states and have been subscribed to the podcast from the beginning (back when it was Terra Incognita). I love this podcast and recommend it to everyone. Not only is the storytelling amazing, but I also find it rather calming. Matt Pycroft does a wonderful job guiding the conversations; they seem to flow effortlessly. One of my favorite episodes is actually the shortest one, where Matt talks about burnout and knowing when to take a break. After this episode I realized the host is possibly even more interesting than the guests, which would seem impossible considering the guests include some of the most brilliant people in the outdoor community/industry. I will continue recommending this podcast to anyone and everyone!

    Wisdom beyond adventure…
Don’t usually review, but Matt Pycroft and team have done something exceptional. I began listening for the thoughtful discourse with adventurers like Saunders and Anker and Cool, but the depth of discussion far exceeds adventure and is so often philosophical. While certainly entertaining, this podcast is neither superficial nor simple. It is accessibly presented yet thought provoking and I get smarter with each episode.

    Meditative
I’m in the states and I really enjoyed learning about the British adventure world from the background lens. My favorite part of this podcast is the intro and exit Melody.

    Great Podcast
For me this podcast has what a podcast needs in order to be great - a smart host who asks the good questions and can seemingly get interesting answers consistently - deep thinking guests that listen more than they speak - and unique subject matter that goes beyond the subject matter when it needs to, which is often. Would love to see this podcast venture out of the UK-ish bubble a bit more, but overall super solid work!

Get so much out of this!
Love this podcast. Get so much out of it. Listen to it while i run. It is inspirational and the wide range of interviewees and topics always leave me thinking about it for long after I’m off the trail. Great work, hope this one sticks around for a long time.

    Awesome interviews
These are some of the best interviews with people that largely fly under the radar. Honest questions and answers from people that do things for the love of it rather than money. Keep up the great work

    Loved the Faroe Islands piece
Great podcast! Great interview style. Loved the Anker and Faroe Islands podcasts. Can’t wait to listen to more.

    Occasionally Transcendant
The “Poison Arrows” episode is one of the best pieces of long-form audio content I’ve heard in my life. Teeing up Adventure OGs to tell their stories is clearly the formula for success here. Occasionally episodes veer into the pseudo-philosophical “influencer” babble that plagues the Sidetracked magazine, which is unfortunate. Luckily, it takes about 3 minutes of conversation to know which guests care more about their warrior-poet “personas” than telling a great story. They’ve hit on something special here - stick to it!
