jrshelbs19The Absolute Best Podcast for wrestling fans!I am way behind on finding this podcast, however, 12 hours of listening to it on my way to the National Finals in Philadelphia is catching me up. The great questions asked to the athletes has me feeling like I could know them personally. This podcast is what wrestling needed. The way the athletes feel comfortable being interviewed by one of their own gives the listening experience a different feel. I will continue to press play long after I am caught up on every episode.
-
BlakeHowardThomasGood jobLove this podcast it helps a lot as a young wrestler because listening to people who have lots of experience helps and hearing how they learned to wrestle and how they trained to be successful at wrestling. Keep up the good work👍
-
dandshinGreat wrestling podcastYou have great guests and a broad knowledge of wrestlers and their history. It’s a pleasure to listen to real wrestling interviews.
-
tonygansenGreat interviews and researchGreat interviews and research. Usually I hear something like the Gable interview, the interviewer fawns, fan boys over Gable and wants to talk about 72 Olympics all day and I’ve heard that story. Not the case here, questions and stories that some how, someone else hasn’t dug up in 50 years.
-
yu22klpGreat podcastRyan, you have great and interesting people on your podcast. But your interviewing style, knowledge of wrestling and great questions are what makes your podcast easily the best wrestling podcast out there.
-
rugbygruntBest seriesBeen following the show for a while, shared it with everyone and anyone who has wrestled. Multi part series are excellent, coaches episodes give great insight to do’s and don’ts, and it’s always great to hear from past, current, and future champions. Keep up the great podcast.

Biggun157Inspirational Podcast! My first year of wrestling as a junior and I didn’t do very well, but your podcast taught me how to mentally handle losses and how to treat my opponents. You truly are a treasure Ryan!

jellystone624Great Show!My 10yo daughter was dialing up all the female podcasts this week leading up to the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling Championships. Thank you for the inspiration!
-
SuzeNord2013AmazingMy son and I drive all over Ohio for wrestling each week, as he wrestles for two different clubs, listening to all of your podcasts. Inspirational and so enjoyable. One of those clubs he wrestled with is Jeff Jordan’s up in St Paris Graham. He would be an so awesome person to interview with all of these wrestlers he has coached (David Taylor l, Logan steiber, etc.) and been coached by (Schultz). We Love your show!
-
ian1wright... that Ian1Wright!Yes! Wrestling will change your life, so enjoy this pod!Wrestling has influenced my life in so many ways. If you ever entered the circle, this Pod’s for you. Host Ryan gets the best guests. He’s both a fan and a great conversationalist with the greats … and sometimes not-so-great. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen.

Roe Bear 64The best podcast out thereJust listened to the Pat Cummins episode. Wow, what a crazy, fun story. I listen to the podcast every day on my bike, and I thought I’d heard all the best stories. Henry Cejudo. The Smiths. Tony Davis. But this episode is probably my favorite of all of them. If you want to know how hard work pays off in this sport and in life, start here. Cummins is such an interesting guy. He could be a character in a movie or a book. Reminded me of the boxer/ deep sea divers in Tom Jones’s The Pugilist at Rest. Keep them coming, Ryan!

DwhigEscape from EnglewoodJust caught up with the Escape from Englewood podcast on my 4 hour drive home from the PA freestyle/Greco state championships. What an awesome story! Made my PA turnpike trip a breeze. Loved every minute of the podcast. All the podcast are great but the series episodes (Smith, Slay, Englewood) are awesome. Keep up the good work and keep the stories coming.

Greco4LifeEssential podcast for wrestlers or wrestling fansDo yourself a favor and just subscribe to this podcast. You will get a great foundational knowledge of the mindset it takes to be successful in wrestling. For those of us that left our boots on the mat long ago, you will get a better appreciation of the sport we love.
-
Tim DevlinMotivationThank you for your Podcast he helps me motivate my 2 sons (9 years old and 13 years old)in training. Gives me more on knowledge to pass on to them and help them mentally. Keep up the great work and enjoy your break Can’t wait for the next one
-
Southpaw2096Lessons on MindsetThis is a fantastic podcast to learn about wrestling-both past and present, but also the mindset that the champions of the sport have. You really get insight in to how the lessons learned in the practice room have carried over to the lives of those who are interviewed. I love how a lot of the interviews talk about failures and how to be resilient. We lack that in our society right now and these people exemplify that. I appreciate the work put out on the podcast and it is a go to for me when I make my numerous long drives. Keep up the great work!
-
RowdyBensonAwesome for WrestlingThis podcast is a blessing to the wrestling world with the vast information through interviews and documentaries.
-

Edit amAlways having fun listening and learning from your interviewsFrom Will Of A Warrior- Kangas Wrestling I always list to you on Spotify but it’s not easy to leave reviews I like how your interviews makes us feel like we are all in the same room like a bunch of friends talking and telling great stories about how wrestling impacted our life. I so enjoyed the Mike Zadick discussion as it was just go and we’ll catch up on questions later. Loves that he rebuilt the wrestling room and kept the rope… wow!! The wrestling family is like no other. We learn from each other’s experiences and pass this knowledge on to the next family member. Your show allows us to have fun, remember and learn. Thank you Will Of A Warrior- Kangas Wrestling

CrossfacecradleWrestling can change lives!I am a 60 year old father of a special needs son who is now 26. When we received a diagnosis of Autism when my son was 2, I realized I would need an endless supply of endurance and tenacity. My wife and I would need to dedicate all to my son while I still earned a living as a trial attorney. My wrestling life gave me the tools to face this challenge including the absolute knowledge that I can accomplish almost anything if I work, endure, suffer and drill enough. Every episode reminds me how wrestling changed my life and made me the father I am. The podcast and fantastic guests speak my language. A language that few in the general population understand. Great job shining a light on our special tribe. I will be listening.
-
YUsucksobadAn absolute gift! This podcast is a wonderful tribute to a wonderful sport and never fails to make me smile. I recommend it to everyone I know who wrestled and frequently subject my girlfriend to it in the car against her will. She has zero interest in the sport, but has yet to insist I turn it off…..that’s saying something!
-
Joe Williams, MichiganWrestling Podcast at Its FinestI have enjoy the Wrestling Changed My Life podcast since we were in Covid lockdown and haven’t missed an episode. Ryan does a great job getting individuals from all aspects of wrestling to join him. My favorite episodes have been with Matt Ghaffari and most recently with Mike Zadick. All the interviews are “real” and discuss multiple aspects of our great sport. Ryan is able to ask in depth questions that gets to the heart of the individual so that we feel like we personally know the wrestlers and coaches. You don’t have to be a wrestling fan to enjoy the stories shared in this podcast and learn life lessons that wrestlers know so well.
-
ram121909877Thank youI am in middle school and this has inspired me to work harder and spend more time working on this amazing sport thank you for bringing all these people on

Scuba185Wrestling has in fact, changed my lifeAs a wrestler and coach I absolutely love this podcast. I encourage all of my wrestlers listen to each episode. I have it on in my truck when I’m taking kids to practice and when I’m driving to work, I am caught up on every episode and hands-down. It is my absolute favorite, whether it’s hearing stories from other competitors or learning how the greats prepare for competition there is something to be learned from each and every episode keep it up and Cearley, Steve Naglosky, shell lake, Wisconsin
-
Hylnder133Great way to be a better CoachThe podcast is great! Anyone can get access to top level athletes and coaches in our sport. I always feel like I pick up one or two things from each episode that helps me to better prepare my wrestlers.
-
JM RiceFantastic PodcastThank you for all your hard work on this podcast. I have three boys, all heavily involved in the sport. You have great interviews that really bring their hero’s into our truck as we travel from practice to tournaments throughout the week. It is another angle that we use to be involved, ask questions, continue to grow in the sport we love. Your documentary style podcast out our favorite! Keep up the great work!!!! Justin Rice Jackson, MO
-
sorrentinojExcellent PodcastThis is one of my favorite podcasts. It brings to life inspirational stories from world class wrestlers and those with a passion for wrestling and other combat sports. Not only is it great for former wrestlers like me to connect with the sport we love, but it’s also great for those simply interested in inspiring life lessons. The Henry Cejudo series was very engaging and extremely well done. Overall, this is a brilliant podcast that I have on heavy rotation.
-
chach-20Doesn’t get any better! My go to podcast makes my day at work a little more enjoyable! Thanks for all that you do!
-
lincolnquailFantastic showI have really enjoyed this show and recently shared the Henry show with my son. It has been awesome to discuss the episodes with him as he digests it and use it to understand how much we both have to be grateful for. I would also think it would be awesome if you could have the man I think is the best WY wrestler ever, David Zuniga, as if he could have remained healthy woucld have given Brands, Fried, and Smith a great run for their money.
-
Slink70kgThe absolute best!Nobody does a better job of interview prep and storytelling then Ryan. My son and I listen to the podcast every time we make the 50 minute trip to Sebolt wrestling academy. Your passion is undeniable thank you for sharing these stories!
-
trtwinsLove the Podcast! This podcast does a wonderful job sharing wrestling history and telling wrestling stories. It’s a wrestler getting wrestlers to tell their stories to other wrestlers. And if a non-wrestler listens, they’ll become a wrestling fan too. Especially love the audio documentaries. Just finished the Henry Cejudo Experiment. Good stuff! Thank you! Tom Robbins
-
PeoplePersomBrings my love of wrestling to me during long days at workFrom the Smiths, the Cejudo experiment, and to todays David Carr interview, bringing the other side of these fierce warriors to the people. I’ve said it for years, wrestlers make the best humans, it’s nice to get to know so many of those we enjoy watching compete. Keep up the great work Ryan!
-
