JD Greear‘s answers to life’s toughest questions are founded in Biblical truth that will bring the aroma of life to those following it and the aroma of death to those against it (2 Corinthians 2:15-16). It’s no surprise that the ones leaving negative reviews are the ones smelling the aroma of death and rejecting what JD has been empowered by the Holy Spirit to say. The answers are meant to be convicting, because they go against our sinful choices, so some people won’t like what he has to say. Stop doing AND supporting what is right in your own eyes, and turn your eyes and hearts to what God says is right (Judges 21:25).

My favorite podcast! Wish it was longer or had more episodes throughout the week. Here is my question for JD: How does God view non-essential plastic surgery? It has become so normalized nowadays, and I just don’t know what to think.

I think it’s great! I love the solid teaching however I wish there wouldn’t be so much on cultural issues it seems like there are several episodes that focus on differences and I don’t like that, it seems like sometimes it just goes one way

This podcast has been so encouraging! I started listening to the oldest episodes available, and I have been working my way forward ever sense. I’m in the second season now and every episode brings a new blessing. The most encouraging part has been hearing Pastor J.D. give answers that align with how I would want to answer the questions though he is far more articulate than I am. This podcast is very beneficial to any believer who listens to it whether they are a Southern Baptist or not.

I’ve enjoyed listening to these podcasts since the beginning as they are informative relevant and biblical, but it seems many old ones have been deleted. Anyone know where they can be found, and why they were removed?

You always know that JD’s talks are backed by scripture, and he always says things with humility- sometimes claiming he doesn’t know it all, but gives the wisdom he does have! I highly recommend!

The best way to deal w the protests is yes, the practical items of empathy and loving neighbor. More importantly on a foundational level we must call out men like Francis Collins and Tim Keller and Josh Swamidass who all remain, at the very least, accepting of the idea that natural evolutionary processes caused humankind to develop from a humanoid type of creature over millions of years. Theistic evolution is essentially the atheistic mainstream version of darwinian survival of the fittest evolutionism in Christian garb. The implications of believing this will be first of all this differs from the Genesis creation account. God is not with those who put His Word out for trusting mainstream science. Additionally, an implication related to these protests is that people are still in a process of natural evolution which suggests that some races may not be quite as evolved as others. Evolution is most definitely survival of the fittest where some are not quite as fit-the opposite of Gods economy where He says that He cares for the weak. We are sinners. Give a human an inch and they will take a mile. If we believe that we are evolved creatures instead of humans special created in the image of God, then this adds fuel to the potential for the mass protest on race. There is no doubt in my mind. Men like Dr Keller seem to want to avoid appearing unintelligent by appealing to the legitimacy of groups like Biologos. But Scripture calls us to lay aside trusting our intelligence and trust God at His word and i believe in the possibility that until those who's voices are prominent influencers towards our churches repent from a theistic evolution stance, God will allow protests to persist w passion.

I appreciate the quick question and answer format of the podcast. While I probably don’t line up exactly like JD on some secondary issues I appreciate his Gospel above all mentality. The podcast about attending a homosexual wedding has continued to stick with me the most as a realization that we do affirm things by our inaction sometimes as much as our actions. Keep it up.

JD Greear answers tough questions that I myself would fear taking on. He does so out of conviction from the Holy Spirit and from the Word of God. He does not hold back but is gentle and loving when he approaches these tough topics. I look forward to this podcast every week. This most recent podcast touched me tremendously as a survivor of sexual abuse that came from a leader in my former church. JD I thank you for your insight and courage to take this on.

I listen to all of JD’s Sunday sermons and this is definitely some content that is just as good! Each podcast is an easy length to listen to and super easy to follow. JD breaks down a variety of topics that a lot of believers ponder and JD lays out some good information on them. Highly recommend!
