I subscribe to 4 or 5 Phillies podcasts, and I enjoy this one the most.

I’m a daily Phillies watcher for 30 years and I’m impressed by how knowledgeable and insightful these guys are. Glad I found this.

The two hosts compliment each other very well and best of all they offer plenty of opinion, not just analysis. This is the Phillies podcast you always wanted but maybe you didn’t know existed. Phollow.

Long time listener, enjoying Bob & Anthony’s often doom & gloom first approach, with Bob making energetic efforts every now and then to brighten their approach for us long suffering fans. World Series Pt 1, discussing dispatching various Phillies off season before discussing World Series matchup a bit tough to get through. Looking forward to their World Series matchup discussion & takes as it happens. Go Phillies!

These guys do great work for the first half of the year but disappear when the games really matter. I gave them a second chance this year after their disappearing act in 2021 and they did it again. Really disappointing. Kind of like the Phillies.

It was a stupid question and Jim became extremely unprofessional. Awful look for a reporter. Only in Philly.

He has 300 career ABs and everyone is sold he’s a 4th outfielder. Meanwhile for 2 straight years and many many more ABs the same people said Scott kingery is going to come around. Give hasely a chance at everyday ABs to see what we actually have.

This is my favorite sports podcast. Anthony and Bob cover a wide range of topics about the Phillies and go into depth on the issues surrounding the team, its players and their stats, the coaches and management, and the wider sport. And they do so with a great deal of knowledge, enthusiasm and good humor. They don’t pull punches and they are both strongly opinionated (and yes, like most Phils fans, they can get grouchy when the team underperforms). But their passion for baseball is contagious. I love this show!

This is the best Phillies podcast out there. The key to its success is balance. Bob and Anthony are humble true Philly guys who are homers, but will never be accused of unbridled optimism. The younger Bob has your analytics and every day beat coverage while seasoned sports journalist Anthony provides historical perspective and just enough old-man-yells-at-cloud to even things out. The coverage is comprehensive and the takes are measured... unless Russ fills in. Keep up the great work, guys.

Bob and Anthony have a no holds barred approach to baseball and the Phillies - and they are completely fair about it too. If someone is playing well, they’ll praise them. If not, they’ll scorch them. And they are also the perfect blend of new school, data-driven analysis and the old school gut instinct. They make you think about the Phillies and it’s an easy, enjoyable conversation. You’ll like it too.

Great coverage of the Phillies. I loved the interviews that they have had the past few weeks. Anthony and Bob have great chemistry.

I can’t pull a Russ Joy and say it’s the Only Phillies podcast because I do love High Hopes as well, but I started listening over the last month and really enjoy Listening to Bob and Anthony talk baseball and they had some great interviews as well, especially Jim Eisenreich. This pod is Definitely apart of my weekly playlist (joining Snow the Goalie) as I listen on my drive to and from work. Great work guys and Go Phil’s!

The Phillies could sign Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig and these guys wouldn’t be impressed. I understand not putting blind faith after the last couple years, but admitting there were multiple holes to fill while simultaneously ripping every move they’ve made so far to address some of the holes is silly. Love listening to you guys every week and wish you posted more. Little negative sometimes but other then that you guys are one of the best Phillies pods out there!

I’m a newer baseball fan and a friend told me about his podcast. I’m so glad that I listened. There’s so much baseball knowledge between these two and it’s really interesting to get different perspectives. Looking forward to future episodes! Definitely two entertaining personalities.

Good baseball talk. Stick to baseball. Don’t need to hear how social media is harsh though. I’m not on it and don’t care. I would say if you choose this profession you need thick skin and if you can’t take it you should find something else to do. People complain because many think they know as much about sports as the people covering it. Which I believe is true in many cases. Has nothing to do with politics or fake news.

I live in Cape May and I listen to your podcast every week and I’m never disappointed. I’m in Dublin presently and I just walked around the city listening with delight, mostly because I knew before I listened that the Phils newest acquisition, Sir Jay the Bruce, had just won the game versus the Padres for us. But seriously, you both do a great job giving us perpetually disappointed Phillies phans a very balanced look at the team, and what’s transpired during the previous week. Keep up the good work! Of all the Phillies podcasts out there, Crossed up is by far the best. Bob and Anthony burn the midnight oil every week delivering level headed commentary about our beloved Phillies. They don’t wear red colored glasses and you can always count on them to give it to you straight and tell it like it is. I never miss an episode, fellas!!

Been in Virginia for 15 years since departing as a PA native. I crave intellectual Philly sports conversation, and that’s what Crossed Up and all the crossing broadcast “affiliates” are. Just knowledgeable dudes talking in collegial humorous knowledgeable conversation, without being too much of a homer or afraid to press a sensitive issue, but also not too much of the negative “contrarian to be contrarian vibe”. Bottom line, these dudes know know their Philly sports and baseball stuff.

I am always refreshing my podcast list to make sure I don't miss a new episode of Crossed up. Beinga Phillies fan since I was born (literally) My parents took me as a 6 month old to the 83 pennant Race. I grew up a fan of the 93 team and obviously loved the 08 team. I stumbled onto this pod last year and I haven't look elsewhere for in depth analysis. Bob is My age and get excited and disappointed like I do but he backs it up with numbers, it is nice to listen to someone who is as big a fan as aI am and comes from my generation. Anthony brings an old school mentality I can appreciate and days of Small ball long gone. I appreciate how these guys will tell you the Truth even whent he truth isn't what you want to hear but its what you need to hear. Thanks for all you guys bring Keep this up for many years!

A fantastic podcast that is probably unintentionally a lot more negative than they mean to be, but incredibly informative for everything Phillies related.

As someone who wants to hear Phillies, or even general baseball, commentary on the radio on their drive to work, the Philadelphia area sports talk shows are just terrible for that. I have turned to podcasts within the past year to fill that void and just recently found Crossed Up. Crossed Up provides realistic outlooks and viewpoints, that some other local podcasts just don’t do. Anthony and Bob definitely pay attention this the team and look to provide their listeners with information about the team that is more than just a box score of the previous game. They talk about advanced statistics, trends, splits, etc. while giving an honest assessment of the team and how they are faring. Unlike other podcasts that seem a little pompous, dishonest in their assessments, and unknowledgeable of the new wave of baseball, Crossed Up is perfect for the die hard fan who follows the Phillies and not just the causal fan who tunes in every so often and overreacts. Thank you both! Keep up the great work!

Anthony and Bob bring exactly what you need every time. The negativity to keep you grounded and just enough positive vibes to pick you back up. My absolute favorite Phillies podcast and the one I can’t wait to listen to. Gadzooks and Rage On

Bob and Anthony belong on the radio. Anthony drives the conversation and provides some traditional takes, while Bob mixes in an analytically sound opinion. They're phenomenal and you can tell they put plenty of time in prepping the show. Keep it up!

I have really enjoyed the podcast. Great chemistry and can tell that preparation goes into the shows. The late night pods, after Phillies games are appreciated! This has become a must listen for me, especially as the Phillies make a late season push. Keep up the good work Anthony and Bob!

These guys do a good job. Goes much deeper than regular baseball talk on the radio. Informed.

To anyone who listens to this podcast, i will tell you now.. if you like any other team other then the Phillies i will guarantee you that you will be the next biggest fan. This podcast is run by Bob Wankel. What i see in him is a smart, super funny, informative, and creative guy. He is dedicated to his work and deserves a 100 stars.

If you like the cold hard truth and flaming hot takes then this podcast is for you.

Whether intentional or not, I love the subtle 311-love to kickoff the podcast. Two of my favorite things: baseball (Phils) and 311. On the real, though, this is the best Phils talk you’ll find out there. Intellectual, informative, objective, and overall well-rounded conversation. No unnecessary hot takes from on top of a high horse to generate fabricated content without thinking their point through (ie: sports talk radio). Wish they’d drop eps more than 1x a week during the regular season. In a football-dominated city where fans pay attention to the other three teams only when they’re winning (oh my god! No he didn’t!?!), this is very gratifying to listen to. Please keep the episodes coming when the offseason rolls around!

Such a quality listen that doesn’t beat the stereotypical topics to death. Great conversation that makes my commute fly by.

Been listening to other Phillies podcasts for years now and after 2 episodes I can already confidently say this podcast is the best. The hosts are realistic and practical. The format of the episodes is just long enough to satisfy and not bore. The topics are on point and relatable to us, the fans. A smash hit from crossing broad and must listen for Phillies fans hardcore or casual. A+ my dudes, keep them coming!!

I cannot wait to hear the meltdown after opening weekend. Great writers from the site. Looking forward to this going the full 162+. Give Gabe a chance, we cannot write it off after one weekend. Go Phils! Side note, maybe Bob can help out on the Phillies radio as there is a big gap without LA on visiting games.
