I’m also on a VO journey and loving it.

Today I finished a 4 month experience in listening to every one of Anthony’s podcasts. Being new to VO Anthony’s podcast and Facebook group are an excellent place to start. I first listened to the podcasts that I felt applied to me the most…the would be the most helpful, but after listening to those I knew I had to listen to the rest. It’s been worth every minute of listening. Anthony is an incredible success story and truly makes you feel like you can be successful in the crazy world of VO as well.

Getting into VO can be a bit overwhelming if you don’t know the Ins and outs of this business and career. Anthony is a great guide for getting into and growing a VO business. Very down to earth and knowledgeable from first hand experiences, everything is explained in an “Everyman” way that anyone can understand and use successfully. I discovered VO’s Journey last summer dousing lockdown. Then I went back to Episode 1 and started over. I listened as he was recording at 2:00 in the morning when he had to get up for work at 5:00. I admire his tenacity and general “stick to it”-ness. He has inspired me again and again. Every time I feel like giving up, I look at Anthony’s journey and think “I can do this too!” I keep sending proposals on UPWORK, FIVERR and ACX. Still waiting for the break, but I ain’t giving up. I have listened to and watched countless numbers of people give advice on voiceover. I came from a radio background where searching for work on the Internet wasn’t a thing. It just came to me because I had shifts on the air. Not being in radio anymore, it presented a challenge to find voiceover work. Anthony is the most real person you’ll ever hear giving advice. He is a man with a dream and a passion. He followed both of them and they have led him to success. As he points out, it was not a quick or easy path. But he did it. His story is truly inspiring. If you have ever dreamed of getting into voiceover, and you are willing to put in the work, you need to listen to this podcast!

Anthony’s podcast is incredible. It has given me the motivation to start my own voiceover business and land my first jobs for producing audiobooks. If you are starting your own voiceover business, then you really *must* listen to it. Anthony is as real as they come. His podcast is not fluffed up with commercials and pitches to buy things you don’t need. He shares his own life experiences and teaches his listeners how to pursue their goals as a VO. His daily YouTube Lice Chat videos are great, too. Three cheers to Anthony!

So far I have only listened to 3 episodes, but I have already gleaned so many helpful insights that I have not been able to thus far. I have searched for resources to help me get back to doing VO after only getting my feet wet many years ago. The industry has changed dramatically with talent doing most of the post-production work on their own (My experience involves walking into a studio, speaking into a mic, and that is it. The engineers did the rest). You have a very professional, knowledgeable, yet friendly (and ironically self deprecating) way of sharing your knowledge which makes for a pleasant, and inspirational listening experience for a “second time beginner” who can become easily overwhelmed by the process and the technical knowledge that is required to be successful. Kudos. Well done.

Anthony’s approach is so interesting and to the point!! I take something with me from every VO Journey encounter. He talks to us not at us! That’s a huge difference! Although we are all on different levels in our voiceover careers, he speaks to us on the same level. Anthony has been doing an awesome job with this podcast! It's been really great to hear his story. A lot of other VO podcasts get a bit stuffy or sound like they are trying to preach to you. Anthony is 100% real and down to earth. The kind of guy you could see yourself having a beer with. He is relatable, and makes his listeners feel like they are on the journey with him. He has a lot of great ideas and tips, and I enjoyed listening to his podcast so much that I decided to join his mastermind group. While I can't attend every session, I look forward to the times that I can attend, it's a great group to be a part of. In basketball Anthony would be what is called a triple threat--he can shoot, pass, and dribble. He can do it all. In the VO context---he can performance coach (a former acting teacher), he's technically sound, and he can coach on developing your business with great experience. No one gives away as much information in such a spirited manner while inducing the student and listener to act. He's part psychologist and sees you when you're stumped and about to give up. He talks you off the cliff, without having seen you there, without knowing you. It's a voice and empathy that you listen to and which you respond. (previous review) Anthony invites you to ride shotgun on his VO adventures as he build his business. His intent is to lighten the learning curve for the novice or intermediate VO. He is an interesting and instructive coach, amateur philosopher (the best kind), and sometimes court jester. In episode four, on acting, he works the Stravinsky precepts of acting like worry beads. And you know what, you remember them. All his episodes project goodness and generosity.

Anthony Pica’s podcast is an outstanding reference for new and emerging voice talent. I discovered this podcast maybe 3-4 months ago. I went back and listened to many, many of the older episodes. And, to be honest, I find this one to be among the top 2-3 voiceover podcasts for my personal listening. I will occasionally check out others, but they don't have much staying power, as far as my needs go. I find Anthony to be upbeat, well-informed, and a genuinely encouraging guy. He is an analytical thinker, but doesn't just go with the status quo...so he offers some fresh takes that cause me to rethink things. That makes this podcast more than worth my time.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Anthony Pica for many years and his passion for teaching/coaching has always been recognizable, even before he started voiceover career. As a newbie to the voicover industry, I dove right into his podcast and have already learned so much and am more excited and confident to use his teachings to become a successful VO artist as a result. I just wanted to share that as a veteran VO who was, in my opinion, very fortunate to grow up in and around broadcasting with mics and studios always around the corner - I find I’m learning a lot from someone who is new on his VO journey. I needed to better organize my online presentation. Anthony, thinks of things I haven’t. He is transparent and shares his ideas with great generosity. I never leave reviews, but I have to give Anthony a shoutout because his podcast keeps me in check on my VO Journey and keeps me motivated. Every episode is very specific and gets to the point. He tells you what works for him and is provides suggestions on how you can make it work for you, rather than telling you what's right and wrong which is very refreshing to hear copmared to a lot of other podcasts.
