Listening to two friends talk in-depth about a new animal each week is something I never knew I needed. Good production quality and way to make you question things about the natural world.

These guys put out a high quality podcast about some of Earth’s strangest animals. Entertaining and educational...nice job!

Life, Death, and Taxonomy is a family friendly show hosted by two fun and energetic hosts who have a great way of explaining topics. You’ll find yourself learning a lot about a variety of topics, and laughing along the way. It’s extremely well made and you’ll come to appreciate topics in taxonomy on a new level. It’s bingeworthy!

This podcast is awesome. I look forward to listening to it every Tuesday as soon as it’s released. Joe and Carlos are experts on all kinds of animals, but they convey their wealth of knowledge in an interesting and engaging way. (“Measure Up” is definitely my favorite segment.) Listening to LDT is one of my kids’ most-anticipated parts of every week, too! These guys are amazing and I highly recommend making this podcast a part of everyone’s routine.

Always a good time listening to Joe and Carlos break down the taxonomical wall seperating us from ignorance and bliss. Very informative but always light hearted so it is never boring to listen too. Always looking forward to the next episode!

Great concept and hosts are awesome!

I homeschool 3 kids and have been listening to podcasts for 9 years, and this is our absolute favorite podcast in the entire world! Joe and Carlos make us laugh out loud each week and provide an awesome, educational, interesting, family-friendly 30 minute oasis from our otherwise kinda dull homeschool curriculum. Even when I’m riding in the car by myself, I’ll re-listen to old episodes just because there’s always something interesting or fun that I missed the first time around. I even burned CDs of my favorite episodes (Orangutan! Japanese Honey Bee! Grasshopper Mouse!) and passed them out to my friends. These two guys are incredible, and I appreciate not only their research and attention to really cool details about each animal, but also the giftedness and creativeness of their use of words. (And songs, of course.)

These hosts have a lovely, conversational style. I usually just listen to true crime—this is such an interesting break! -YNY

I've always been an animal person but I've learned so many new things through this podcast. These guys do a great job bringing something new to the table with these fascinating animals. This show is a great combination of serious research on each animal but also that sort of impressed awe, disgust, or heebie-jeebies you’d have as a kid when learning about some weird, amazing animal. Always a delight to listen to and the perfect length to give you some laughs and some learning. Also, who can say no to that David Attenborough impression?

I’ve been waiting for somebody to make a podcast like this - very pleased with it so far!

I was initially skeptical that a show about animals, a subject that so often relies upon visual interest, would be a good listen. Nevertheless, hosts Joe and Carlos manage to pull it off with a combination of fact and humor. The episode about tardigrades was especially enlightening and entertaining. The thirty minute format keeps the conversation on track and prevents drag. Good show indeed.
