    One of my favorite Podcasts
I love revisiting Christmas favorites and learning about new movies or tv episodes/specials with the “elves”. I look forward to a new episode every Monday and have even found myself going back to older ones during the week. Despite your claim of being the most under researched podcast, I always find myself learning something. Such a feel good, fun podcast

    Overall phenomenal
I have am fairly new to this Podcast. I have been catching up from 2017 and have been loving the chemistry between our 3 elves and hearing the development of their relationships. I appreciate the indepth BIAS opinions on the movies, tv shows, etc. Love the spinoff with Julia and Anthony. Also, the BEST most memorable episode so far is from 7/2019: "Now That's What I Call A Tis The Podcast Christmas: Volume 1" episode. Also, I appreciate the branching out to other genres andall the extra content on Patreon!

    Christmas podcast
Just discovered podcasts and gave it a try. Hard pass. Long boring detailed stories about the participants’ lives that they clearly think are funny, but are just dull.

    Love this podcast!
I’ve been listening to Tis The Podcast for 10 months & just finished all 5 seasons. I’ve loved Christmas & all things “ber” months since I was little, so I was so excited to come across this podcast! I’m a stay at home mom to a 6 year old girl & 3 year old twin boys, & I work from home, so my interaction with adults during the week is pretty limited. Not only does this podcast share my love for Christmas, but listening to Anthony, Thom, & Julia is like listening to my own friends. I play the podcast while I take the kids for a walk or doing work around the house & the kids enjoy it too! We celebrate Christmas in July every year (we go all out with a mini Christmas tree, baking cookies, small gifts, & of course, Christmas movies), & a few movies/shows that I heard about from this podcast have been added to our July & regular Christmas rotations. Thanks for all you do 🎄 - Gayle Guthrie

    Kind of boring…
I really enjoy Anthony and Thom when they’ve appeared on other Christmas podcasts, but this podcast is so boring. I enjoy the topics, but their approach is so painfully SLOW. Also, as a woman who enjoys things, I don’t understand why so many podcasts feel the need to have someone on who hates everything. Julia seems to be verbally rolling her eyes at everything. Even things she claims to like, she always seems “over it.” There are so many fantastic Christmas pop culture podcasts. I think I’ll stick to those.

    Political
Great show when they discuss Christmas But They can’t help themselves and bring Liberal politics into the podcast. We come to enjoy our love of Christmas and escape the craziness of life , not to be divided more!

    Great podcast!
I listen to this podcast every week. Gotta here weekly how close we are to Christmas at the end of each episode :) This show needs to go on forever. Make sure you listen so they have incentive to go on forever. They really do keep the Christmas spirit alive 365 days a year!

Listened to 3 years in 2 Months
I love this show!!! I found this podcast about 5 years too late and started listening the first Christmas season after my dad passed. It provided the most cherry distraction and kept my mind from spiraling into grief when I was doing mindless tasks. I now have strong feelings about Christmas in Hollis, am engaged in a debate with my mom about whether or not “It’s a Wonderful Life” is a Christmas movie, and have added Arthur Christmas to my Christmas cannon. It’s clear the hosts do this podcast purely out of a love for Christmas which makes it an even more fun listen. This podcast has brought me such joy and I cannot recommend it enough. (Although, I will say, my mom was personally offended by the takes on One Magic Christmas and Anthony’s ranking of White Christmas.)

Halloween and Christmas lovers can enjoy!
I really love this podcast for the awesome Christmas vibes it brings but being a Halloween lover I also appreciate that they embrace that holiday as well. It’s always fun hearing about a new movie I may not have seen and adding it to my list to watch.

    Christmas All year round!
I appreciate this podcast for keping Christmas alive all year around. I love talk radio and even more when talking Christmas, Christmas movies etc. Keep it up!

    Down hill
I use to really enjoy this podcast but lately it has just gone down hill. They have two really great host and one unfortunate one. He always brings up politics anymore and just complains like the pretentious snob he seems to be. Be better guys, maybe just drop the deadweight.

    “It’s good, it’s good”
This show continues to keep me in the holiday spirit all year round! Hilarious and passion-fueled. Tis, the perfect show to sit back, have a cup of eggnog, or pumpkin spice and listen to this three incredible trio talk all things Christmas and more!

Episode 128 - Go and Redeem
Anthony understood this film. I hope Julia and Thom have done a little more homeowrk on it since 2019. After all, it's rather widely recognized as the finest version of A Christmas Carol ever filmed. I felt sad they had not watched it often before doing this podcast. While bemoaning its B&W-ness and the 1951 effects, and not even knowing of Alastair Sim, they missed the fact that it was a British, not Hollywood, film and several of the actors had distinguished careers before and after this film. And, really, recognizing Hermione Baddeley, but not Patrick Macnee or George Cole!? Barely a word about the soundtrack or the musical motifs, like the use of "Barbara Allen" to represent Scrooge's family connection, or the light-hearted Bob Cratchit theme. Nothing about the socio-economic ironies. Too many lines straight from the book, really!? Overall, they're pretty uninformed on this film and much of the commentary is Disney-whiney and displays their ignorance of a classic.

    Often Meandering
I started listening to this podcast years ago when I first started using podcasts for some of my media consumption. I loved and appreciate the movie reviews. The compiled list of the movies and rankings on their website is awesome, and I review it in the fall to help plan my Christmas video watching for the Christmas season. The selection of the movies and shows is great, and I really appreciate the bonus Another Christmas Story book. I really enjoyed it and I recommend it. I can only give it 3 stars for a few reasons. First, the volume level difference between the hosts causes me to increase and decrease the volume. Second, sometimes the hosts can be judgmental and pretentious. Third, some of the hosts can sound mean spirited to each other. And last, the episodes can be very lengthy. My intent when listening to Christmas is to enjoy and get the joyful feeling that is heightened during Christmas season. The fast forward button is now frequently utilized. I realize this is the hosts’ podcast, and they will control their content. Unfortunately, the enjoyment of this podcast is diminishing for me. Merry Christmas!

Well Structured Deep-dives into Christmas Details
Whenever I listen to Tis The Podcast, I find myself laughing like I’m having a conversation with these three hosts, while also walking away with movie knowledge I didn’t know I wanted. The structure feels like a church or AA group meeting starting off with catching up on the week with the hosts, then going into the plot and cast of the film/show that’s being covered and discussing themes, hidden meanings, and general thoughts. I like the consistency. I know what to expect, yet I’m always caught off guard by the commentary and varying opinions. I think the banter within the group makes the show, and I feel like I’m a part of it just by listening. Thank you to Julia, Anthony, and Thom for creating a weekly connection point for me!

    Holiday Fun Year Round
I found this podcast when I went looking for something to listen to after my kid was born. It’s *hard* to stay awake with a newborn in the dead of night sometimes- unless you’ve got something you enjoy to help keep you focused and that’s exactly what this podcast did for me! The hosts’ banter is fun and entertaining, they discuss not only holiday favorites I have warm nostalgic memories of- but also ones I’d never heard about and really seem to bring a bit of holiday joy and kindness to each episode. My kid is sleeping better now, but I still enjoy listening to new episodes and they still brighten my day. (Or night.)

I very much appreciate this Christmas podcast getting into the spirit of Halloween!!! I really enjoy the hosts and their banter, and revisiting some nostalgic holiday media from the past that I love. Thank you for inspiring me to rewatch Halloweentown!!! You all rock.

    Tis the Medicine year round!
Halfway through 2020 and the pandemic, I was feeling pretty blue. It was summer in California, I couldn’t see my friends and family, and I was missing Christmas (because I am a Christmas junkie) and I found these three elves. Yes, Julia is the best, but Thom and Anthony are funny and thoughtful; and all three are an absolutely pleasure to listen to every week as we are perennially counting down till Christmas all year round. I first went through and listened to all the episodes that covered my favorite Christmas movies; then I listened to episodes for movies I didn’t care for, then haven’t seen, and now I listen to every episode because ultimately it’s not about the films discussed, but the hour or two that I can forget it’s January, June, or August and hear Great(capital G!) people discuss Christmas 365 days a year. Thanks for all the hard work!
  • OldFashionedManhattan
Hosts cringe at anything that involves PG-13 content
This show is decent but anything that isn’t appropriate for 8 year olds is regarded as disgusting. You’re adults, act like adults instead of bathing in your own virginity. Small children usually don’t subscribe to podcasts so don’t cater to them. 3 out of 5 stars because I admire the attempt at pulling off this podcast after it’s been tried a few other times.

GET RID OF TOM AND YOU HAVE A SHOW
The show is mostly great. 2/3 hosts are able to offer reasonable critique’s of the holiday classics while also providing some comedy. Tom drags every thing down with his negativity and pompous attitude. You know, I used to think the nay-saying friend in the group was providing a necessary point of view but over time I have come to realize all that point of view offers is avoiding any real conversation because we would rather get bogged down in negativity and laugh off the intolerance of views outside their own. Tom offers valid points some times but I’m over his brand of reviewing. All opinions are valid until the one with the opinion is predictably contrarian. Get rid of Tom and you have a show.

    This one is brutal...
The Movie content is bland and unappealing at best. The liberal politics are irrelevant and unnecessary.
  • gjdavila
    So much fun!
The elves truly have the Christmas spirit alive all year along. They’re really like family! Must listen to keep Christmas in your heart! God bless us, everyone!

The best friendly movie review out there
I love the interaction between the elves. I tend to side with Julia most of the time. I am mostly caught up and have thoroughly enjoyed my listening journey. I can’t wait for more episodes! ❤️😻

    Miser Bros and Mother Nature
They've said it before, Thom and Anthony are the Miser Brothers and Julia is Mother Nature. Love the good hearted trolling going on and how the 3 mesh together even when they don't agree. One of my favorite Christmas Movie review podcasts.

    Love you guys!!!
I started listening to back to ‘Tis the Podcast last December. At the time I was new to a job and had a very angry, demeaning boss. In order to get through the day and find some kind of “happy place” I searched Christmas podcasts. I love movies so ‘Tis the Podcast was a great fit! You guys made me laugh on some really rough days, thank you for your humor and warmth. Since then I’ve started a new job with the best team I’ve ever worked with but I’m still listening:). You’ve reminded me of movies I’ve forgotten and introduced me to ones I’d never heard of. Thanks for the laughs and holiday cheer!

    Christmas all year long!
This show is really fun, and they produce a ton of great content throughout the year. I appreciate the crossover into other holidays and seasons along the way.

Great Show! Congrats on year 3!
These three personalities compare and contrast each other so well. I love that they talk about the Christmas favorites and the duds. The rating system is ultra scientific 🤓 and helpful when finding Christmas movies to watch. A good time was had by all! Keep up the good work. 🎅🏻🎄

    One Tidy Podcast
Tis The Podcast has all the heart and charm of a dysfunctional family at Christmas. Anthony, Thom, and Julia bring joy and enthusiasm to their weekly review of Christmas movies and specials. You'll listen for their takes on your favorite Christmas movie, but you'll keep listening for their scathing insults, it's all in good fun!! A definite must listen to podcast.
  • austintx121234
    Great podcast
Adorable podcast! The dedication to put out an episode each week of the three members is amazing. Thank you for the hours of entertainment.

‘‘Tis the podcast is sugar spice and everything nice.
I am a die hard Christmas lover, also known as Christmas crazy. Every year I get in a deep depression as soon as Christmas is over. Luckily this year I found this amazing podcast. Anthony and Thom’s snarky and quick witted banter toward each other drew me in. Julia’s upbeat outlook and keeping the guys in line also made me fall in love with this podcast. Even if a Christmas movie I did not enjoy was reviewed, I couldn’t wait to hear their perspectives. It is always upbeat and fun. I want to thank the three elves for helping me not sink into a post Christmas depression. I’m so happy to have found this pod cast. Always witty, fun, and a highlight to this Christmas lover’s week! 🎄

    Best Christmas Podcast Out There
I started listening to this podcast last summer as a way to get myself out of the late summer blues and get ready for the most wonderful time of the year, the “ber” months! I love listening every Monday morning when I get to work, the podcast surely brings a smile to my face no matter what mood I’m in. Thom , Julia and Anthony do a great job at keeping the Christmas spirit alive!

    Wonderful
Started listening to this podcast back in August 2019 and have been non stop listening. Finally caught up with the latest Frasier episode and I have to say I’m a little sad there aren’t anymore normal episodes to listen to whenever I want. Regardless this podcast achieves everything they set out to do and more. Love it 🎅🏼❤️🎄❄️🎁

    Just What I Needed!
After Halloween was over I was interested in switching up my podcast listening from spooky content to something that would get me in the Christmas spirit! That is exactly what this podcast did. Listening to the discussion and reviews of Christmas movies and show episodes as presented by Julia, Anthony, and Thom became my favorite part of my commute to and from work! They are definitely passionate about Christmas and I think it’s great! I definitely don’t always agree with their take on things but I love hearing the different perspectives! Highly recommend this podcast. Don’t be like me and wait until the Holidays roll around, listen now as they keep the Christmas spirit going year round!

    Absolutely love this Podcast
I found this podcast around September of then year and as of today I’m finally caught up. This podcast has gotten me through so many long agonizing days at work, filling me with so much joy and happiness. My only issue is that National Lampoons Christmas vacation should be number one on the list. Other than that keep doing what you’re doing and I can’t wait to start contributing to the Facebook group.

    Holly Jolly!!!!
I really love tis the podcast! I love having a place where you can go anytime during the year and enjoy some good ole Christmas cheer. I love to listen to Christmas music and watch Christmas movies throughout the year, and it’s nice to know that there are people who feel the same way as I do. Many thanks to Santa’s three special elves, Julia, Anthony, & Thom for keeping the Christmas spirit alive 365 days a year, and for creating this wonderful podcast for all of us Christmas lovers to enjoy. Merry Christmas and God Bless us everyone!❤️🎄🎅🏻🤶🏻

It will hit you with all the Christmas feels... even in the Summer
For those who long for a trip down Christmas Nostalgia Lane, Tis the Podcast always delivers. Whether it is a Christmas classic or a Christmas memory we'd rather forget (Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas, anyone?) the trio of Thom, Julia and Anthony always tell it like it is. If you are looking for a good conversation, some laughs and some of the Christmas feels, you can't go wrong with Tis the Podcast.

Great podcast about a great holiday by great people
I’m not a fan of winter at all. But I love Christmas. As the warm summer days dwindle I usually dread the coming frigid N.Y. winters. But since this podcast started, my dread of cold weather has been replaced by the warm love of the holiday season. While I can’t keep my tree up all year, listening to this podcast by these wonderful people is an amazing alternative.
  • Manny315
    Im binging this!!!
So after hearing a few awesome episodes, I am hooked. I was not a fan of The Muppets Christmas Carol or Nightmare before Christmas but after hearing these guys take on it, I see things differently.. I have so much to catch up on. I am a jolly Christmas addict and this is just what I needed!!!

    Great for the Christmas Spirit
I had heard about this but finally gave it a listen a couple months ago. Wanted to give it a fair chance before writing this review. The hosts are fantastic and really work well together. They take a look at all the Christmas movies and shows that we love (or don’t!) and provide a fun experience to keep the Christmas Spirit alive 365 days a year!
