I just listened to your interview with Jake Tapper and his co-author and I still have many questions you did not address. I have a mother with dementia and have been observing and learning about the disease over the 10 years. Did anyone they interviewed professionally to be an expert on the functionality of dementia because the truth is that there is quite a bit depending on the severity. And why are we feeding this story to the opposition party leaders when the leader of their party exhibits much more severe symptoms. Also as a journalist, I think Jake Tapper should have pursued and reported his story much sooner than Nov. 6 2024.

Blathering analysis that is completely off base gets boring really fast. How about leaving the echo chamber for once? Your credibility is in a shambles. Good job.

Helpful to understand much of the lockstep, crowd-tested messaging of a party increasingly without a base. Whatever happens now, Democrats have waited too long to embrace a much-needed dose of economic populism and save America’s global standing. That is largely gone, and I don’t see any way for the U.S. to earn domestic trust and admiration back without a transformative reform agenda that tackles the courts, campaign finance, etc., and offers something real and tangible to the working classes of this troubled and divided country. As a lifelong Democratic voter, I won’t hold my breath.

First, Jake and Alex apparently don’t know the difference between the language symbolism of “coverup” and let’s say “hiding” info., which is journalism malpractice. In our day and age, and particularly in politics which just happens to be the realm we’re talking about, the word coverup asserts a crime is/was committed. There is/was no crime here. Sure a lot of Dem political stupidity and folly were committed but no crime, therefore, no coverup, by definition in any U.S. Federal Courtroom. Only in Alex’s head is/was there a coverup. If Trump walks around upstairs at the WH late at night chanting he hates black people, and his cronies hide this fact…. It’s still not a coverup. It’s not a crime to hate people, nor is faking/ hiding one’s cognitive ability. Now, the Biden(s) are going to get everything they have coming to them and more for leaving us with the Dumpster, but this book is a bit of a joke with its righteousness. I’m sure the book is very truthful, but at the end of the day, it’s still just telling us water is wet. Biden is/was a political Chernobyl who continues to off gas radioactive material. The entire World knows this, nonetheless, Joe Biden compared to Trump is Lincoln. I suggest Jakie and Alex spend their time going after Trump’s crimes, lies, and corruption…..but of course Biden is a much easier and pretty defenseless target than the Dumpster. Joe Biden is low hanging fruit and super safe to attack. Gentlemen, the Dumpster is now beginning his move on the media with the maniacs he’s appointed on the FCC………. If Jake and Alex want to hand-wring about something, the FCC’s upcoming actions would be a good place to start, but of course Jake may lose his overpaid position at CNN.

Love the show, but Jake Tapper is a disgusting, pseudo intellectual, opportunistic clown. A little too gleeful about glorifying himself as almost a sort of whistleblower and clearly lying about magically getting a bunch of sources RIGHT after the election. Reports have a duty to REPORT information, not sit on it until the book comes out. Same goes for Bob Woodward and COVID under Trump interview recordings where he “tried “ to inform Trump but didn’t tell the public in real time about Trump’s denials/magical thinking.

This book is not going to wear well. A bizarre focus given the moment we’re in. I listen to the Herr interview. It was in the nature of a deposition and as an attorney, I advised my clients the state that they could not recall if that was true. It’s not an exercise to blab on abt everything the client knows. The date recollection I thought was minor. My husband died and if I were being deposed, and someone all of a sudden threw in for no reason my husband’s death, it would rattle me.

After the biggest MAGA break up of the decade, I can’t believe you decided to rail on Biden for an hour and a half. So tiring. I’ll update this review when I’m less mad.

Can’t believe there was an attack in Boulder, and your episode tackling it basically summed up to “so this guys did this thing, but can you believe how trump is using this? Wow he’s so bad” Every one of Lovetts answered sounded so paused and hesitant. By far the strangest angle you guys have had in a while. We’re dying as a party while you all flail about every word. Huge fan but that episode just felt so disappointing and disrespectful. Even the transcript reads “he’s being charged with a federal hate crime, but that’s just because this is Donald trumps America” cmon guys, do better, people were hurt time to be serious again we have a party save.

These guys are just great. Thoughtful, informed, with lots of humor sprinkled in. Sure, it’s liberally biased, but I’ll lean towards news sources that treat compassion as important as capitalism any day of the week.

I subscribed to crooked media to listen to an unbiased political commentary and hear honest and sensible liberal opinions but they consistently deliver a mainstream democratic point of view. After 7+ years of listening, I rarely hear them criticize the positions of the Democratic Party/challenge democratic guests. They only complain about republican positions while never bring guests who offer point of views who differ from their own, each week I hear them ask softball questions about MAGA to liberal guests who offer the standard democratic taking points. Crooked media has changed from a liberal media outlet into a Trump focused channel where they thrive on Trump centered content and cannot function without his existence. I worry that come 2024, crooked media will have absolutely no basis for future content and will focus on the past rather than future democratic endeavors. Maybe try guests that have differing opinions rather than people who are staunch democratic supporters/Trump haters. Just a basic thought

On the May 27 edition of Pod Save America, one of the your hosts made a juvenile crack about Rep. Gerald Connolly, the recently deceased stalwart of the House Democratic caucus. The remark was callous and unprofessional. Even worse was your decision not to edit the remark out of your program. I suggest you apologize to your listeners and to Connolly’s friends and family.

For the past few weeks I can’t seem to listen to this show. The episodes always say they’re unavailable, even if I wait a couple of days between attempts. I don’t have this issue with any other podcast. I’m not clicking the subscriber only edition, not sure what’s going on.

They went from “I barely use ChatGPT” to “Here’re multiple ways I make it check its work” in seconds. Lovett is still fun but these guys ain’t it.

I love your weekly podcast and I always listen to it but I can’t handle listening to all the content you put out. It’s just too much and I don’t want to subscribe. I’m an old person so I don’t mind the commercials. I just want you to send me the regular weekly show and stop sending me all the extra subscriber only podcasts, but there’s no way to turn it off. In 2020 I made multiple $200+ donations to democratic candidates in states other than my own via Act Blue. Since then and until this episode aired, the emails, texts and robocalls were endless. As a result I refused to make any donations in 2022 and 2024. And I refuse to make any future donations until the DEFAULT when making an electronic donation is that as soon as the payment transfer is complete ALL of my information is fully deleted. If I have to do a search and click for such an option - no donation. I WANT to help, but being taken advantage of and abused will, unfortunately for all of us, prevent that. Anytime something antisemitic happens in the US I brace myself for the next episode. It is so disheartening, as a liberal, a democrat, a progressive, and a Jew, to feel so unsafe and unwelcome in your conversation. Two young people were shot outside of a Jewish event, and you wasted no time blaming it on Bibi, rather than the terrorists who murdered them. Please stop both-sides-ing antisemitism. I left the 3 star review because I truly value your takes, but I may have to stop listening to protect my mental health.

I was hoping to hear some regret and contriteness after all the dementia jokes you made when you thought he was struggling with mental illness. Myopic and self-serving. Not a big picture podcast- at least for the last few years. I listen with an open mind and am left with the conclusion that I’m the only one willing to have an open mind in this listener/podcaster relationship.

Director Regina sounded as gaslighting as Mark Zuckerberg saying that Meta’s platforms have no responsibility for posts. ActBlue clearly is enabling and facilitating the phenomenon of selling your contact info by accepting that “there could be good honest reasons to do so”. Does ActBlue do any real vetting of fundraisers they add to their platform? Do they oversee and expel those who function as scam PACs? Apparently not. Sad.

Easy answer. On balance, people don’t like being 1) bullied or 2) shamed into giving money to candidates who cannot, for all the money and expert political advising in the universe, devise a winning strategy.
