Mid March PlansMulti Generational First TimersStumbled across Jody’s podcast as I hastily launch travel plans a few months out. I’m always hesitant to try travel podcasts as they’re often full of ads and filler, but this was a breath of fresh air. Jody is articulate and knowledgable, with practical, hands-on advice. I’m planning to listen to all the episodes before we go, and direct my family to do the same. What a find, especially when you’re starting from scratch and short on time!

bjk1994So Helpful in Planning!I’m planning a trip to Ireland for the first time in August and this podcast has been such a huge help. I heard good things about Ireland but basically only knew about Dublin, Blarney Castle, Cliffs of Moher and that’s it. This podcast helped me learn about other must-see sites to go to and had great tips on everything from traveling, lodging, tours, and even international phone plans. I feel very prepared for my trip now!

While I don’t have children she is still one of the best Ireland travel podcasters to listen to if you are going. The best tips, the best experience ideas the best step by steps (car rentals, yikes!). Thank you Jody for always being there for us when we need that advice or just how to get started!

However, as we listened to your podcast while driving the hour and half from Cleveland to Pittsburgh for our Thanksgiving Dinner, Leslie became increasingly interested in the tour, especially by the dining experiences, Silver Works, and the ‘Lake of Learning’ adventure. I stumbled upon it last year when our family was contemplating a post-Covid trip. This podcast convinced me that Ireland would be a great destination for our family, and it was! Our kids tell us that it was their favorite family trip yet, and a lot of that is because we followed so many of the tips we got from the podcast.

spelks17Best Irish Podcast - Family or NotJody’s podcast is one of the best out there for planning your trip to Ireland. We have a large family group going to Ireland, but I find her advice is helpful whether you’re traveling solo or with a family. One of the ways you know she’s so good is that she has appeared on just about ALL the other podcasts out there devoted to Irish travel. The ebook is also well worth the cost. Note that I was a bit surprised it didn’t cover a lot of attractions or lodging recommendations. It’s more of a practical guide for your Ireland vacation on the whole, with concise info you may not find elsewhere. Finally, my favorite part of the show is at the end when she asks for the guests top 3 Ireland must do’s. You should post these as a consolidated list on the website!
