So I finally started watching bates motel on Halloween actually because it’s been on my watchlist on Netflix. Also I’ve heard such great things about the show from some old friends and other people. I’m now in the middle of season four & I’ve loved the show since the first episode. I discovered the bates motel after buzz tv podcast a week or two ago I think & I can’t get enough of it!! I pretty much listen everyday & I’ve gotten up to season 2 episode 8. I love listening to everyone’s thoughts and theories on the show & the characters. You guys have mentioned things that I didn’t necessarily think about when I first started watching, but now that I’ve listened to your podcast it all makes sense. I’m trying to catch up to season four before I finish watching bates motel, but not sure if that will happen. 😅 Anyways thank you all for creating this amazing podcast. I got to say each time I click on a new episode I either smile, laugh, or really question the characters and their actions in bates motel. Sorry this review is extremely long, I just wanted to let everyone know that I love this podcast & I definitely recommend it! ❤️

I finally got around to watching this marvelous show. And any show I watch I always look to see if there is an after buzz to listen to. Thank you guys for always being interesting and funny.

These four practically finish each other's sentences and they are hysterical and articulate I'll watch any show they podcast on. I loved The Following and Hannibal.

Every time I finish watching Bates Motel, I instantly check the Podcasts app to see if there's a new episode. I love the people in this podcast and the production is pretty good.

I love this podcast. I've seen all four episodes of Bates Motel, but haven't gone through all four seasons of this podcast (having just discovered it toward the end of season 4...I'm catching up though and have listened to all of season four and am up to the half point with season 2). I've listened to other podcast discussions, and there's just no comparison. These guys love the show as much as the rest of us. They're entertaining and astute. I'm blown away by their predictions and how they catch things that I've totally missed. Great Podcast! Like Bates Motel, I'll be sad when this too is over after season 5. It was also nice to be able to mourn with you when Norma died. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of friends and family who watch Bates Motel (their loss).

Absolutely love this show. As I love Bates motel and don't really have anyone I watch it with or anyone to talk with about it, so it's nice to open these episodes each week and listen to others reviewing it and talking about what happened, predicting what might happen next. Etc. I love it. Great cast on here- they all add something to the show. They each have their own opinions and ideas and express them wonderfully. Love this show!

I listen to many of the Afterbuzz podcasts and love love love these hosts!! Since Season 1!!!!

So glad both Bates Motel and this after show are back. It’s great to listen to the show after watching each episode. Just would like the end not to be so rushed. Seems like they run out of time a lot at the end. Other than that, the show is very enjoyable.

In the movie, "mother" was more abusive than she was helpful, and full of explanations. Also, in the movie, Norman sounded horrified when he found out what "mother" had done to a stranger; in this show though we're supposed to believe that Norman would be alright with a friend being murdered. So in the movie (which happens later in the timeline) Norman has empathy for strangers, but in the show he's alright with "mother" murdering a friend. I want to like Bates Motel because it could be interesting, but it seems like it's just more propaganda and fear mongering the already popular opinion that the genocide of a group of people is a solution to deal with a group who are already dealing with disabilities and illnesses.

Great podcast. Refuse to refer to rape as rape for some reason, which is irritating. Other than that, I wish it was longer so they could have more time to talk about scenes I was looking forward to listening to others' interpretations.

I really love love love the hosts, they always make me laugh and bring up so many new different points or details that I completely missed when watching the TV show myself. This is a 'can't miss', I feel like I didn't get everything out of the TV show until I can listen to everyone share their gossip and talk out every scene. I often respond to their comments while I am driving to work, talking to myself in my car. Keep up the great work!

I love this podcast! The story episodes are discussed intelligently but in a fun and interesting way.

One your first episode you said the mother was never named but, in the original book the mother’s name is Norma. Great podcast

Like this podcast for bates motel. The guys on here are interesting to listen to. Best bates motel podcast! (Gave 4 stars because the female on this podcast is kinda annoying and seems like she doesn't watch the show ) love the prediction segment other than the females prediction, hers always makes no sense. *added note, I don't know why my screen name is leather n lace? I'm not in to that, really don't know how to change that option

You guys are funny and I love hearing you! I really like when you come up with things I didn't think about before, but it's nice to hear someone else besides me notice small things that happen. The seaman v. semen conversation as hysterical.

The panel has a good chemistry. They all add to the discussion with great insight, thought and just the right amount of humor. I'm not sure why there are only two podcasts reviewing this awesome tv show. One suggestion to make it an even better podcast would be if they could get some fan interaction meshed into the program.

I love this podcast! It is just the right mix of thought provoking commentary and humor. Also, it's nice to listen to a podcast where each member is not afraid to share his or her own opinions, even if they are not popular opinion or conventional. The hosts often catch clues and develop theories that I had never thought of, which makes the podcast very interesting. Anyways, if you're a Psycho fan or Bates Motel fan, listening to this podcast is a must!

First of all, thank you guys for your hardwork and awesome coverage of Bates Motel season 1, also thank you for the shutout last week 👍😁 This episode made me uncomfortable. Glad Abernathy is dead. Love sheriff Romero. Norma's revelation to Norman was disturbing. She's really taken over Norman's thoughts and emotional control. That teacher creeped me out with her ways towards Norman. However, I can't help but wonder if we were only seeing her thru Normans perspective. Well, she shouldn't have brought him home with her. What is it with Norman running/walking in the street and getting picked up by people? Lol Norma and the psychiatrist, was a funny scene. Specially with her saying shes just going thru normal people stuff. Side note: the way Vera Farmiga plays Norma, comes off real crazy and hilarious but there could be an explanation to her method of acting. She could be memorizing all and ONLY her lines, and so when her co-actor says/responds/commands their lines, Vera reacts out of instinct while spitting out hers! 😃 great actors and writing! Thank you afterbuzz and see you next season!!

I love listening to your show after watching Bates Motel. You all make such great observations and predictions, my only complaint is that your podcast isn't up soon enough. The Following After-Show Podcast was always out the day after the episode, but the Bates Motel podcast isn't usually up until 3 or 4 days later. Speaking of The Following, that show really started to lose me in the last few episodes. The only thing that kept me interested and still watching was your podcast. Great job. Got any suggestions for other shows to watch if I like Bates Motel & The Following?

I love the afterbuzz podcasts and this one ranks right at the top of my list of favorites. Not only is the show great but your comments are terrific. I am anxious to find out more about this crazy town. It sounds now like Emma has lied about her mom being dead. Her dad said she "left". I wonder if that is significant. Do people in this town "leave"? Perhaps they disappear. I am really looking forward to the rest of the season and beyond. Keep up the good work .

This is a great podcast for those of us who cannot get enough of Bates Motel. I love the difference in opinions with the panel format! There is a low audio buzz, which is a bit distracting, but I'm still rating five stars for top-notch content anyway.

I listen to a couple of afterbuzz Tv and much of the shows depends on the chemistry of the hosts and the 3 guys on this show have that in spades. I listened to them on the Following podcast and I looked forward to them sometimes more than the FoxTV show. When they mentioned they do this podcast, I came over and listened and sure enough, they are just as awesome as they were on the follwing. Weird thing, I have never even seen an episode of Bates Hotel, just listen to this for them. Joe Sanfelippo voice is like honey, so warm and smooth, I could listen to just him read a phone book!!

I listen to several After Buzz podcast. Of the ones I listen to "Bates Motel" & "The Following" are my favorite. I would give theme both five stars if it was not for the audio quality. Both of these podcast have a VERY distracting low frequency hum, almost like Bass Feedback This will not keep me from "Following" you to "The Bates Motel" every week but I have unsubscribe from other podcast for much less. I love the way that your podcast feels like I am with a group of friends talking about the show, unlike other podacst that try to be something (whatever that something is) Keep up the good work ElectrrRic

I've tried a lot of the after-show podcasts, and I qiuckly loose intrest the longer the show runs. So far, I've jumped on each episode for this series.

I just want to tell you how much I enjoy your Podcasts - I subscribe to about 10 of them and can't wait to listen to your take on the various shows. I have to tell you also that for some reason the writing on some of the shows is very difficult to follow sometimes and the dialogue is so rapid and sometimes inarticulate. I have to watch with captions in most cases. But after listening to your round-up of each show podcast, it helps me absorb the story and characters in such a way that I couldn't do it by myself. Hey guys, love the show one of my favs. (I'm a loyal fan with Scandal, Game of Thrones and Doctor Who among others) I just wanted to say as a love of Alfred Hitchcock and he's movies, these were actually real people. This happen in I wanna say rural America and that's where the book comes from along with Alfred's movie. Keep up the great work guys love the banter.

Guys, love the podcast and agree that Farmiga and Highmore are excellent as Norma and Norman, respectively. My only complaint is that the podcasts seem to be REALLY post-show, as opposed to most Afterbuzz feeds, which are available the day after the program airs. Other than that, absolutely great work!

First off, you guys at AfterBuzz are the best! I listen to a bunch of ABTV podcasts, and they are all excellent. Prediction: How effed up would it be if Bradley turns out to be a guy and Norma kills him for taking her Norman away!?!

I'm just luving the new show. The writers are pure genius for creating a story-line involving poor Norman's childhood and his relationship with his nutty mother. He grew up to be so creepy and now we are learning why! Keep up the good work. Thanks for these podcasts...
