    AI voices!
Now using weird sounding voices presume AI - cannot listen to these. Such a good podcast spoilt.

    Case Quality
No longer trying on case selection, cases aren’t interesting enough to be storytelling and making money off

    Weak
Wishes us ‘happy holidays’ instead of having the courage to wish us a ‘Merry Christmas’ Go woke go broke.

    Great Podcast
I’ll admit the narrator is an acquired taste, but like with Casefile it grows on you.

Love show but for love of God please don't ...
.... provide a synopsis of the whole case at the beginning of the episode. I love the case to unfold but the intro always includes major spoilers

    AI Narator
Narrators voice is unbelievably irritating. It is clearly AI. Can’t listen which is a shame because the content is great

    The Narrator 👎
I was compelled to leave a review after deciding to give this podcast a try. Im not sure if the Narrator is an AI voice or not but I couldn’t listen to this for more than a few minutes. I tried a couple of episodes but the Narrator is just grating. The content may be great but didn’t even get that far unfortunately. Love all the other Wondery stuff that I’ve come across otherwise!

    Hidden gem
This podcast is a quiet achiever. Excellent production quality, well written & suitably delivered. The timbre of the host’s voice is soothing & suits the storytelling style of empathy for the victim/survivor & oftentimes for the perpetrator. It’s important for the genre of true crime to understand but not glorify people who do despicable things while placing the innocent person’s story front & centre, a feat MoM does well. Example is the Ep 184 the Brittany Smith story.

    Ruined by ads
The ads are out of control, if you’re trying to force people to a subscription model there are better ways to try it.

    Ads
Was great until newer episodes where the ads are painful and way to often

    I keep drifting off
The hosts monotone makes me drift off and forget what I’ve heard 😭 super bummed as I’m looking for a new podcast and the episodes look interesting

    Disjointed
Story interrupted by that annoy female voice? What is that about? Please stop!!

    Best True Crime PC
Love everything about this PC. The voice, the lengths, the facts/story. A ++ in my books

    The Birdhouse
A bad narration of so-called “factual history”. The narrator needs to see what Jesse Owens really said about Adolf Hitler and what happened when Owens returned to America.why did I

    Great listen
This is up there with CaseFile as the best true crime PC. Their voices are the best! At first I actually thought it was Thomas Haden Church!! 😂🤷‍♀️

    Love the narrator
Love this guy… the cool, gravelly American voice and the way he really turns each case into a compelling story. Not too long, just the right amount of suspense. Great true crime podcasts! This narrator may not suit everyone, but crikey it means I don’t have to listen to those vapid, way-too-happy Australian women who sound far too cheerful to be relating a tale of murder and violence. Entirely recommend Minds of Madness.

    That Voice 😫
The narrator’s ridiculous, affected, unnatural voice makes this unbearable.

Love it! Sad you guys have a life outside this podcast haha 😆 Just wish more episodes dropped more frequently. Love the dynamics between both hosts!

    Absolute best podcast!!
My favourite podcast BY FAR!!! I used to love Casefile but then the stories started to waffle on a bit too long - Minds of Madness is PERFECT! Enough detail to get you hooked, straight to the point and no chit- chat, and each episode not so long that you start to get bored! I’m so sad I’ve finished all the episodes, I can’t find another podcast that’s even comparable now!!! :-(

Alive but still not free- Nikki Addimando
Just wanted to say thank you for all the work put into the Nikki Addimando’s case. Part one of “alive but still not free” was truly amazing. Her story is heartbreaking but unfortunately is not an isolated case. So many woman suffer in domestic violent relationships and when it comes to defending themselves, they are questioned and not believed. Looking forward to listening to part 2.

I love everything about this podcast. From the chilling stories, to the creepy soundtrack and the best voice in podcasting! I am addicted.

    Respectful and Sensational
The latest episode on Sarah Everard was one of the most thoroughly executed podcasts I’ve ever listened to. This episode, along with many others, are carefully articulated to provide listeners with a comprehensive balanced account of events. Thank you

    Background music
Love your podcast, been listening for ages. Now listening to episode 115 and you have background music in the beginning, but hopefully not all the way through. It’s really off putting, too loud and distracts from what you are saying. I hope this is only a one off, as you don’t need it!
  • mummah62
    Fantastic
Thankful for stumbling across this podcast. The hosts voice is so easy to listen to and he respectfully talks about each case with no banter or unnecessary remarks. But be warned... you will never hear the end of an episode if you put it on in bed cos his voice will lull you to sleep . Thank you for this podcast Western Australia

    Great content
Love the content and you voice reminds me of my youth, sitting on a boat in the beauyo eating grilled crawdaddies with my papa. With this show,we laugh. We cry, but most of all we learn lessons. And don’t forget to bring a towel

    Such a great podcast.

Love podcast, but not Wondery promos
I really like your podcast. But when a new episode arrives, and all it is is a Wondery promo, it is so annoying, and I have unsubscribed other podcasts as a result. It is misrepresentation, as I think it is one of your podcasts. I will keep listening for now but once there is another Wondery drop - then I am gone.

    Been listening since ep 1
Always interesting cases told well and l can’t deny it..Tyler’s deep voice and delivery really make for a very distinctive style-always a plus for a podcast when so many sound the same. The synthcore intro music rocks too!

    Highly recommended A+
Fantastic podcast . I wear headphones while I work and play several episodes a day. I can’t wait for more. Great content and highly recommended

    It’s a no from me
I tried really hard to like this series, and to be fair, the stories are very interesting. However, the episodes go for about twice as long as they need to because there’s that much irrelevant information in them, and the editing in the interviews leave a lot to be desired; most of the people being interviewed just ramble on and on, adding to the plethora of useless information that is not pertinent to the actual crime. The amount of times I ended up just hitting skip because I didn’t want to listen to a solid wall of instrumentals for 30 whole seconds really didn’t sell this for me.

    Excellent Podcast
This has quickly become my favourite Podcast. It is very professionally done and doesn't stray into sensationalism. Minds of Madness ensures that the victim is treated with respect and I love the way that the episode usually ends with a close friend or family member speaking lovingly about the victim. It is rare to find a show like this that doesn't glorify the killer and focuses on the victim and the facts - all the facts and theories even if sometimes the theories are extreme. Keep up the excellent work.

    Recommend!
The cases are unique and varied, and the host’s manner is respectful. Some episodes have brought me to tears. Keep up the great work!

    Fantastic
    Thanks for a great podcast.

    Great podcast
I look forward to every episode with anticipation. I think the cases chosen are great as they are mostly rarely heard of cases. It gives you stories that are not the usual cases you find in true crime podcasts.

    Unmissable
I can’t miss an episode. As an avid podcast consumer I love everything true crime but this one hits different. The empathy you can FEEL from the host makes this podcast sensationally special and the stories of the victims and their families are told with the utmost of care. Bravo - this is first class podcasting.

    Mind of Madness
well research, thank you for all your hard works! Some of the story can’t be easy to podcast, I’ve been cringing just hearing it!👍🏼👍🏼

Minds of Madness Love this Podcast!
Tyler is a great story teller. I’ve been a listener for awhile now and love it as much as I did in the beginning. Tyler is very interactive with his listeners as well. Love the stories. Keep up the good work! Nicole 🇦🇺

    Great podcast
  • best crime podcast going
    Undecided
The stories are interesting but told in such a way that I lose interest. Not enough information on the actual crime and the music that is played just takes up way too much time. I find myself skipping ahead a lot to get past the boring bits. Don’t know if I will keep listening to this
  • Lulubella56
    Boring
So slow!! The host talks so slowly and monotone that it’s frustrating. Boring.

    Ep 48
I’ve listened to your back catalogue and nearly every episode and As my uncle was a murder victim I know all too well the heart and gut wrenching “feels” these stories tell. Particularly ep48 was so touching and well presented. Tears as I listened to the tributes at the end, which prompted me to write this review. Rip Taylor Powell, to his family, you had a special boy there! ❤️

    I’m addicted
I really enjoyed listening to this podcast and am sad I have caught up! My favourite feature of this podcast is the use of real audio clips, especially the emergency services calls. I think Tyler does such a fantastic job telling these stories. His voice is very smooth and easy to listen to which is a bonus when you listen as frequently as I do! Very limited amount of ads as well but even then, I don’t mind listening because I like Tyler’s calming voice. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a crime podcast to give this one a go!!
