I’ve been listening to this show for a decade. It is my favorite comfort show. Hail the Tall Whites!

Can’t listen anymore. They’ve become self righteous, smug, constantly mischaracterizing and showing contempt for real world people. They also seem to have a strange hard-on for the Mormons. A lot of prejudice for Mormons. Outright bigotry.

Long time/every episode listener. Still a firm believer that Henry is one of the best character actors of this generation who deserved more opportunities along side of LPOTL. He was great in Wolf and Pretty Face is a masterpiece. I do; however, feel like most of the recent comedy feels rushed during the pod. I frequently re-listen to older episodes like The Ant Hill Kids or Danny Rolling and there is just a noticeable difference in the character building and clean delivery Henry focused on then and what’s been included on recent episodes. But before anyone tries to blame the Ben/Ed dynamic the Hatfield and McCoys series was fantastic. Since then, a lot of it feels uninspired though. I just want the true Henry comedic immersion back that just doesn’t exist on any other piece of media out there. Also, the 1 stars complaining about there being comedy with the stories, what did you come here for? Go back to Case Files if you want your vanilla fact dump. (Love Case Files too but it’s a different kind of show.)

Call Ben. You need him. Eddie tunes is great. Reminds me of the bird Luger days (rest in peace, Kevin.). But something has been lost. I could not care less what Ben did or did not do. Just like I don’t care which football players take a knee. It’s not why I watch football, y’all get me? If I want to hear married dudes talk about aliens, I could go hang out with my dads. Ok, a majority of the stories on this podcast are ROUGH to listen to. You will need a solid, rock hard constitution and a dark (like midnight black) sense of humor to enjoy these goofballs as much as I do. They make these traumatizing stories fascinating and hilarious despite the nature of the dark tales. The comic relief is essential and incredibly well delivered; their timing is impeccable 🤌. The honest approach to storytelling is refreshing and the amount of research done on each topic is crazy detailed. If you are a sensitive snowflake, move on. These guys rock! Btw, you do have women listeners out here… Hiyeeeeee 👋

I stopped listening for some time and came back to discover Ed had taken Ben’s place and I gotta say I’m loving the change! Ed and Henry have great chemistry and are hilarious together.

Updated review: calling it now, there will be many children named Larrikan bc of this show. Better than ever, hail Ed! So glad I tried again after the patreon tee shirt debacle, now that the vibes are WAY. LESS! ICKY!! Seriously, Ed seems to be a lovely person and that is so refreshing

This could be a 5 star show, but the constant attempts at humor and laughing really pulls you away.

I love the stories that you guys tell on this podcast! I listen to a lot of true crime and I really like the podcasts that add the humor. I’m on ep 245 and I will say that whoever does all of the voices in an attempt at humor bugs the ever living %#*€ out of me. I have to skip forward because I just can’t deal with it any more. Otherwise, I absolutely love this podcast!

Tell the story in an impactful way, with a few comedic interruptions. I was trying to listen but literally the guy who does accents and impersonations never shuts up. Making the whole entire episode about comedy really takes away from the actual story, not to mention is why each subject had like 5 parts. Get to the point.

Ignore the 1 star reviews and give the show a listen for yourself. If you don’t like it, then don’t listen. It’s really NOT THAT HARD. The show is marked explicit for a reason, and the humor isn’t for everyone even though I get a hearty laugh listening everyday. Ed is doing a great job, as well as Marcus and Henry (as always). If you don’t know the controversy with Ben, go look it up, but don’t let it hinder your experience. These guys are doing a fantastic job. Hail LPOTL!

Been binge listening to the show since I first discovered yall I was looking for a podcast about Lenard lake and your guys podcast was the first to catch my eye and now I’m hooked love the show and I’m listening to yall as we speak!!!

Impossible to listen to. Infinite stream of bad joke interruptions that destroys any interesting plot. More of a forced comedy improv show than a story told in any meaningful way.

Don't adequately review good subjects

I’m probably not the target audience, I have different beliefs than these guys and I’m not on board 100% with their political views… But that’s part of why I love them! Yes they are loud, they have ‘dirty’ jokes, they curse… it’s fun. They are unapologetically themselves and I love it. They do a lot of research, they add great humor, and Ed Larson is a wonderful addition. I miss Ben, but Ed does a great job too and is a lot of fun! If you’re looking for something tame this show is not for you. This is a fun podcast that will have you laughing… so long as you don’t take yourself too seriously. Thanks for a great show guys!

A highlight of my week. So hilarious and well-researched. I always learn something new even when I think I know the subject front to back. The bad reviews are all so odd. Ya’ll sound emotional like the hosts have personally wronged you somehow 🤣 Not sure what that’s about but the content is great!

I have been listening for years. Other podcasts come and go; this is my forever podcast. As hilarious as ever. My favorite episodes were the Chaos Magic series and the Left Hand Path. Heavy on true crime now; would like to see more Occult topics. Keep making it Magical fellas!

Beyond having said what’s already been said about Ben not being there, Ed has seemingly refused to listen to old content of Last Pod to bring himself up to speed on what the podcast actually is and was. At point during an interview, ed said “all of this is relatively new to me” which isn’t something you want to hear a host say! Do the work, Ed. Educate yourself on the podcast you were asked to host. He can’t callback to previous episodes, and the other hosts act as if those episodes don’t exist. This podcast at one time was the best podcast in the country. Now without an actual blue collar man on the show, it’s a woke circle jerk that occasionally touches on the macabre. Great episodes through Oppenheimer/WWII ones.

Fellas, worst commercials I’ve heard, please stop. Just use the stock ones plz.

Topics sounded intriguing. I listened to 1 1/2 shows and couldn’t take it anymore. You may enjoy this if you are 12 years old.

Came back today to try and listen again and see if anything improved. It has not improved at all. The incessant laughter at totally unfunny jokes and interruptions to any flow of the story make it totally unlistenable. Henry is cooked. Dude used to be funny, he desperately needs someone to guide his creative direction and energy because without that, he is too all over the place to be funny. This show has gone downhill since Ben had to leave. You can barely follow the stories now because of Henry constantly interrupting with half-related jokes, random outbursts or political comments or rants. It’s also frustrating to hear jokes that aren’t funny and listen to Ed laugh hysterically at them for entirely too long where you have the time to say to yourself, “That wasn’t funny..” and still hear him laughing, all while prolonging the space between Marcus speaking about the actual story before and after the interruption. This was the best podcast around at one point and now it’s seemingly cooked. I’ll still go back and listen to old episodes for sure and hope that things get better (reign yourself in Henry) but I won’t be waiting for or looking forward to new episodes to listen to anymore unfortunately.

Ed is sooo funny and definitely made the show much better. His jokes are just so quick and witty. Henry is funny sometimes, but definitely tries too hard and his laughing at his own jokes is annoying. And Marcus has the best laugh. Their story telling is definitely in a world all its own and not for the faint of heart, or anyone who is easily offended, which is not me.

Good comedians and the extreme liberal politics used to be tolerable before the election but after the election, it turned into unbelievable liberal cope. The cope is definitely from them thinking they know what the average American wants, but they couldn’t be more detached from the average American. Like a buncha LA snobs who think they know better & look down on more than half of America.

Ed has brought new life to this podcast and I’ve been listening for so many years I’ve lost count, keep up the good work! Loving the mix of historical stories and Side Stories is the funniest part of my week.

I’ve listened long enough to know that “unpredictable” means “just said nagger”, but Trump has Henry so așșblasted he isn’t funny any more. Thanks for the good years.

Wildly entertaining and informative, they don’t pretend to he here for anything other than information and entertainment, while some other podcasts in this genre claim to be trying to solve crimes and tell victim’s stories. I also love that they reveal that these killers are just losers, not some darth vader level evil genius like some other podcasts portray them as. Their BTK series, in contrast with MONSTER:BTK is an excellent example of this for me

I wrote a long-winded review that I have now deleted to keep it simple: listen to this podcast. The boys have covered a topic you’re into, just find it. You will not regret it, especially if you listen to recent(ish) episodes once Eddie became a host. Forever my favorite pod.

Thank you for doing the work that minorities have been asking for a long time for some accountability in history by you for you. It is appreciated. Keep doing historical series like the Batavia.

Ed is just what the show needed. A fresh new invigorated feel. I love the behind the scenes talk, of Ed doing research, of the researchers and the tech side of it. I love the rapport between everyone. It just feels good again. Everyone brings something to each episode and the show overall feels healthier. I came late to LPOTL, after MFM mentioned ‘they’re so funny and do so much research’ and have been around since 2017. Admittedly late but I love the show just as hard. Great work, everyone, into making the show run smoothly, keeping us laughing, and teaching us about all kinds of things under the sun. Love love love. I appreciate what every person has brought to the show over the years, and I recognize that we are all just trying our best. It just feels really nice to listen to again.

I have been a long time listener, first time reviewer. I absolutely love this show and all the extras. My world resolves around lpn podcasts and I would not have it any other way. Thank you all for what you do! Not just our fabulous hosts but all the employees of the network too! It takes a team and it speaks volumes how amazing this team is!

I have been listening a for long time and love the addition of Ed Larson! He comes with in with great little trivia bits that are really fun add-ins, he is hilarious, and adds some lightness to the content that gives a nice balance. But Marcus and Henry now interacted like an old married couple on verge of divorce. Their flow together has been feeling really off and takes me out of the newer episodes a bit. I know Henry can get really excited but it’s like Marcus doesn’t want to hold a conversation, just wants to be listened to, control the whole narrative and has to know more than his co hosts. Hopefully they can get their old flow back cause I love a lot of their subjects and the way they approach them with so much detail. And the hate on them leaning liberal reviews are wild! Yikes to that part of the fan base. I don’t think they have shifted their views so much as just matured on that front and that’s respectable and refreshing!

If these doosh bags left out the politics, it might be a good podcast.

I came to listen to their Black Dahlia series. I’m not use to this style but enjoyed it. If you are looking for host that are respectful of the murdered victim they are taking about. This ain’t it…

My favorite podcast! It’s been interesting to listen to these guys grow up and change and the podcast has evolved and grown with them. I love and greatly respect the amount of work that goes into each show and the humor that that Henry and Ed bring is fantastic. Marcus is brilliant and so intelligent. I can’t get enough of the content you guys dish out. Keep it coming! Love you guys so much!

Started listening in like 2014 to round table and last pod, loved it then before they were too big and didn’t have to be fake woke and politically correct. I do think they are doing a good job with the actual topics that they cover, and although we all know Kissel is innocent, Eddie is pretty good at being his replacement.

Love the show and the new lineup is fantastic. My only issue is Henry has got to stop stepping on Ed and Marcus’s jokes. You don’t always have to be the One-Up guy and try to add things that make the whole thing fall flat. Just calm it down dog.

If you like that kind of thing, you might like this. The first episode I listened to they were excited about smoking meth and having sex.

Henry’s political views are really bringing the show down. Sorry the election results are not what what you wanted. Get over it, quit crying and dropping juvenile comments and focus on a good show yall usually do. Or go and join The View to brush Whoppie nasty hair.
